I have been to meetings and listen to LAIG podcast but I haven't been to meetings for a while. I should.
  • I've been in OA 22 years and have the following types of recovery: 1.) I have not been bulimic since my first meeting, and 2) have maintained at least a 20 lb. weight loss. I'm using MFP now because I'm more sedentary due to back pain and my weight has crept up. One of the tenets of OA is to have a food plan and report what you're eating. It keeps me honest with myself and my sponsor. I've used MFP a couple of times as needed and it rocks for keeping me honest. It's important that I use the program to report what I eat and I don't get into obsessive thinking about calorie restriction. That's my experience.
