What food(s) is the key to your success?

Through your weight loss journey I am sure you have encountered a few snacks, condiments, desserts, etc that have been a part of your success.
What are your top 1-3 foods you find yourself eating several days a week that really help you keep going?
Here is my list:
1. Protein Ranch Dress (40 calories in 1/4 cup!) - It is a dressing made out of cottage cheese (you can also use Greek Yogurt) that tastes creamy and delicious! I have it almost everyday on salads or as a topping on burgers, or just about anything to add flavor.
2. Spinach & Cheese Lean Pocket (250 calories) - I am not suggesting this to anyone, because it would be better to eat "clean" but this is my "grab-and-go" meal if I need one. It really when I have no time to prepare something to eat and instead of stopping off at a restaurant or splurging I eat one of these. I love to dip this in a little bit of my protein ranch dressing (above)
3. Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich (150 calories) - For those times that I am craving something sweet, this is amazingly satisfying

Cottage cheese is a big one for me. Great by itself. I also like it on a baked potato. I used to smoother a baked potato with butter and sour cream, but now just have one topped with cottage cheese. Yummy and healthy.0

Big huge salads with tons of chopped up veggies. I am hungriest at lunch, and I can eat a big bowl of salad that fills me up.0

I used to eat skinny cow ice cream a lot but I heard that it has chemical that makes you crave sweet even more since it is not the real thing.
Eat fruits like banana = sweet and satisfy.
Sweet potatoes - sweet and it helps me feel full around 150 calories each.
eggs - creamy for my salad.
Pepper - it makes me drink water more0 -

Sure!
Protein Buttermilk Ranch Dressing
1 cup Cottage Cheese or Greek Yogurt
1/2 pkg of Hidden Valley Buttermilk Ranch Dressing Mix (or make your own mix and add 2 tsp)
1/4 cup of water or milk. If you add milk the calories will obviously increase slightly. I use water, but I tend to have to use a little more than a 1/4 cup (maybe up to 1/2 cup).
Throw it all in a blender and done! It's best if you let it refrigerate for a half hour or so to let it thicken up.0 -
Ice Cream0
-
Hummus - on anything!
PB2 - on anything!
Homemade yogurt
Homemade low cal granola0 -
Yogurt, peanut butter and protein bars, grilled chicken and lean cusine pizza0

I'm maintaining my weight, not losing (or at least not trying to) and my go to foods are:
Breakfast: poached eggs, spinach and tomato with a bit of olive oil, OR cottage cheese with peaches or pineapple
Snack: always fruits and vegetables, with ranch dressing or hummus
Lunch: tuna sandwich on wheat bread, or homemade vegetable soup
Dinner: grilled chicken breast or steak with roasted red potatoes or a baked potato OR seared salmon with lemon and brown rice0 -

Yumm that sounds good! You might like my protein ranch dressing then since it is made with cottage cheese. I like to put some cottage cheese on egg whites too.0 -

What Salad dressing do you use though? How many calories?0 -

This summer it has been all the fresh fruits and veggies from my parents garden and the local Amish/Mennonite communities. Just today I had 2 fresh peaches from the Amish and some black grapes. Yesterday's lunch was hummus with fresh sliced cucumbers and grape tomatoes from my parents garden along with a fresh peach, black grapes, and some spring rolls. In my fridge I currently have: blueberries, cherries, black grapes, zucchini, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, cantaloupe, new potatoes, onions, apples, clementines, watermelon, and bananas...all fresh, prepped, and ready to eat!
Other things:
Kraft Polly O String cheese for a quick snack 80 calories
Lean Cuisine Supreme pizza pockets for quick on the go meals 220 calories
Sara Lee 45 calorie bread and .5 tbsp crunchy peanut butter 79 calories0 -

Oh really? It usually satisfies my sweet cravings, but I'm more of a salt person than sweet. I tend to crave salty foods or a salty + sweet mixture rather than just sweets. I was never really in to Candy, etc.0 -
Yep, my best tool has been bacon, I seem to have better losses when I eat it at breakfast which considering it's sodium and fat ridden you'd think different. I'm just glad it's a good tool for me.
Other magic foods for me has been steak, peas, potatoes, egg whites and mozza cheese. Been doing good with making combos out of these.0 -
Fat free fries.
I eat loads......0 -
I eat snack pack pudding to fight my sweet tooth. I eat more fruit than I used to and lots anf lots of fresh veggies from the garden.0
