What NSV did you have this week?

I just finished a week's holiday in the Vendee region of France. I ate more bread in a week than I have in a year, croissants and coffee for breakfast, shared an entire Brie cheese with my friend over the course of 2 days and drank wine every evening. I also swam in a lake, chased the children round the garden, built sand castles, body boarded at La Tranch Sur Mer, danced on the patio and loved my man.
Not one single pound or inch gained.
It must have been the new energy I have and doing so much activity. It just shows how inactive I am at work, sat behind a desk all day.
Vive La France!0 -
had a teacher at my kids school tell me that i looked like i had lost some weight and was not breathing as heavy as i had in the past.
played basketball with my 11 year old son and did not even have to sit down while doing it.0 -
Almost all of my clothes that I bought only a few short months ago are starting to get very loose on me. I bought some shirts in extra large ( I wear/wore a large), because if you accidentally dry them and they shrink a bit they will still fit. Well I ended up never putting these shirts in the dryer like I usually do with my shirts and they are falling off of me and they look like dresses on me, when I bought them they fit fine, they were big of course, but now they are way too big!
Also, I wear/wore a size 12,(I am thinking I'm now a 10, YAY!!) now that I have lost weight, one of my pairs of size 12 jeans are FALLING OFF of me! I can take them off without unbuttoning/unzipping them. Makes me realize that, hey I actually am losing weight. I've only lost 12lbs, but everyone is starting to notice a difference, my stomach is getting flatter, my thighs are getting more firm, and my arms are starting to look really good.0 -
YOU ARE DOING AWESOME GUYS ..MINE IS A SIZE 11 PAIR OF JEANS AND I STARTED MY JOURNEY 2 MONTHS AGO AT SIZE 14 SO YOOHOOOO TO ME0

1. I put on a dress in a size I have never worn in my adult or teenage life. Only a year ago, I was a dress size 16 or 18. I proudly put on a size 8, and proceeded to cry, because that was a day I never thought would come
2. I got honked at 2 times, in a positive way, while biking home from the gym. That hasn't happened to me in forever!0 -
I have 2.NSVs
I am no longer , according to the charts, obese. YAY! Only 33lbs to go before I reach upper limit of "normal" range.
I wore a dress I have not been able to fit into in 3 years and my neighbour actually gasped when she saw how much smaller my upper arms have become. :happy:0 -
I went from being able to do only 8 minutes of 30DS to doing 30DS plus 40 minutes on the treadmill everyday.0

My husband saw me naked today and later in the day he told me how im looking GOOD!
that was awesome because he has never told me anything without me asking first!0 -
1. I ate dinner and several lunches straight out of the garden.
LOVE being able to eat out of the garden! Noms!
I swam freestyle for half an hour without stopping. Three weeks ago I could only do a couple of laps without stopping for a breather.0 -
Went to pick up a sports bra and they didn't have an XL, so I took an L totally expecting to have to return it..... it fits! I've never bought anything in my life that was an L :noway:0

Went to the eye doctor yesterday (I know the doc from Pilates class), but had not seen her since the beginning of the year. She went on and on about how great I looked and wanted to know how much weight I had lost. Funny thing is that I have lost very little amount of weight but have lost quite a few inches!!!! Especially in my mid-section!!!
I floated all the way home!!!!
P.S. Also super pumped that my almost 60 year old eyes were in great shape and I didn't need glasses!!!!0 -
1. Have maintained my weight loss over the past month.
2. For the last two times I went to work I didn't eat everything I could.
3. Am going back to clocking roughly 10,000 steps per day on my fitbit.
4. Am able to resist temptations better.
5. Work clothes seem less tight.0 -
I sat on a barstool and my behind actually fit.0

Moved from the 3rd to the 4th hole in on my belt (size small from Evans) and realized my XL tshirts look big and sloppy on me.0

Got to day 24 of Insanity. I did it once before and got to Day 23 and had to stop as my best friend needed my support 24/7. So this is now territory for me.0

I did 5 press ups this morning- have only been able to do 3 up to now! Yay!
My size 12 t-shirt is baggy on me,0 -
Stood on the scales and the %body fat was less than 30% ! It was only 29.3% but I'll take that!
Well done for all MFP'rs and you NSV's!0 -
I'm getting contacts! Now, this may not seem like a weight-related NSV, but it is, and here's why: I finally feel like my face is not "too fat" for contacts - my eyes are no longer deep set and tiny looking over pudgy cheeks and heavy brow line, my face has thinned out to the point where I don't feel self-conscious about it! I don't "have to" hide behind my glasses anymore!0

Hi All

Congratulations to everyone!
I went thrifting with a (skinny and super fashionable) friend last night. I NEVER find anything that fits me when I thrift/vintage shop so I would always wind up getting accessories only. My friend kept holding up things I KNEW wouldn't fit - skirts in size 12 and even a 10, a size 12 blazer, small-looking larges. My size 14 and 16 work clothes WERE getting baggy, though, so I said what the heck, I'll try. And they ALL fit. ALL of them. I couldn't believe it! I'm super tall so hoping to be a solid size 10 when I hit my goal. Now I have a small "in progress" wardrobe, and it's fashionista approved to boot -- and all for less than the retail cost of ONE of the skirts I bought.0 -
signed back up at the gym and finally agreed to go to the free fitness assessment with a trainer to make a plan for when i go to the gym... i kind of got bullied into it when i showed up at the gym but i'm excited to have a better focus when i'm there!0

One of my favorite favorite favorite shirts has been a bit big all summer, but I've been wearing it anyway because I love it. I tried to wear it today and decided that it just looked too ridiculous. I'm sort of sad. I'm going to turn it into a sleep-shirt or wear-around-the-house-shirt, cuz I'm just not ready to let it go, lol. But I certainly can't wear it to work!0
-
I did 3 pull-ups at the park with my kids!!0
-
Lying in bed the other night my hand brushed over my side and I said "oh no! There is a hard lump on my side!" My husband felt it and said, "That is a hip bone". Duh. I haven't felt one of those in a long time.0
-
Zipped up and buckled my old size 10 jeans!, though my muffin top prevents me from wearing them just *yet*. I really only was trying them on as a goof, I didn't expect them to actually fit(ish)
Last winter I couldn't tug them up over my thighs :sick:0 -
