August 28: 5 miles
August total: 121.25 miles The rest of the month is extras!
Thank you for all the work you put into this. I know this is what keeps me moving some of those days that I would rather just stay in bed or on the couch. I would like Option 4 IF someone is willing to step in (Thank you Dino for all you've done, I know it's not quick or easy)...Unfortunately I am not very talented in that area. Option 2 then 3 are my next favorites....I am not convinced I would update a spreadsheet myself to be honest even though I like to check it a couple times a week.0 -

73.6 miles this month so far!! Almost to my 76 mile goal!0
-
Got to the gym and spinning was cancelled. SMH. So I did 3 miles on elliptical. i don't think I will meet my goal
Edit to say THANK YOU DINOS for all that you have done for so long. I've always marveled at your selflessness in keeping that spreadsheet going, especially with the amount of newbies every month, and the shear amount of time it must have taken just to keep up.
I vote for #4, if we have any willing person(s) to take over the task. Otherwise, #3 it is!

some changes will be coming with the September Move your *kitten* Challenge...
Dino has shared that he doesnt want to do the tracking sheet any longer and i'm honestly just not that good with the "extra" sheets with all the fancy formulas/etc....
We have 4 options going forward:
1. Discontinue the Move your *kitten* challenge...
2. Continue the Move your *kitten* challenge with no tracking on a spreadsheet...simply posting goals and progress to the thread and keep pushing and encouraging and using each other as motivation to move longer, harder and further.....
3. Continue the Move your *kitten* challenge with USER entered tracking on a simplified spreadsheet....post to the thread and then post your miles moved to the spreadsheet if you are interested in keeping that part going for yourself and/or the group....
4. Continue the Move your *kitten* challenge with another person taking over what Dino did including all the fancy formula tracking stuff....Participants still post to the thread and we (janet, sara, denise, new fancy spreadsheet person) keep updating the sheet every few days and then the Master spreadsheet guru updates at the end of the month with the stats....
If you have an opinion please post to the thread your choice and we'll go with the majority - as long as someone steps up to do Option #4....I think at this point #2 or #3 are the best options since i'm still going to be moving so i'd like to keep the threads open BUT i can't be responsible for #4's workload and as it is i've been pretty bad about helping keep the sheet up over the last few months with daily updating....
My vote is for #3....we all post to the thread and update our own miles on an open google spreadsheet....
please post your choice before friday 8/30 so when i set up the new thread for september (if we go with keeping it going) i give the right directions....thanks and i'm very grateful for all of you who have been on this moving our *kitten* journey for so long....
First, I'd like to thank you, Dino for all your hard work. I'm pretty new to the challenge, but have enjoyed this more than anything else on MFP.
Moving forward, I'd love to see #4 happen. However, I understand it's not a perfect world. So #3 is my second choice.
With #2 being my 3rd choice.
Thanks again, guys, for doing this!0 -
I vote for option 2. I love the challenge but usually keep track of my miles on my on.0
