    Im in, if not too late.....Just started MFP a week ago. Have 55lbs to lose & have lost 5lb in my 1st week.
  • I'm in just because it doesn't sound reasonable doesn't mean you can't go for it anyway.

    There is already a group of us doing the same challenge, the group is labeled "New Year New You: 40LB Weight Loss Challenge", if you want to just join that group, I am sure it will be fine, instead of having several groups doing the same thing

    A 1250 calorie deficit per day is pretty aggressive IMO. That's why I called it aggresive because I actually did the math. A deficit of over 1000 calories per day is not recommended by MFP.

    I'm in! 40lbs would put me at or under my goal. Although, the way I lose weight it may take longer than 4 months...the motivation and support will be priceless!

    I'm in but i can't lose 40 pounds.. lol. I'd be too skinny. I'm almost to my goal weight so I'd like to lose 10 by the end of the year (well by November!) and lose some more inches and replace fat with muscle. I had a body fat reading done and i have 3.7 pounds of excess fat but am in my body fat % range.
    would like to get more muscle and shred some body fat. Just because I'm in range with BMI and stuff does NOT mean i'm healthy. After getting the muscle built and losing the excess fat I'll be healthier and then happier !!!

  • I am motivated and go to gym every day. I am new to changing my lifestyle and have given up coke, fast food and got off the couch. Count me in, I am focused and hard working now I have seen the benefits of my 3 weeks. :)
