What do you intend to accomplish with a cleanse?

Depends on what exactly you're cleansing.

Because vacuuming makes a pretty noise. Why not?

Not sure what you want to clean, but this one is multi-purpose and has seem to do well for me:

Do not' waste your time with things like this.

A balance diet with proper nutrition, fiber and water will provide your body with all it needs to allow your kidneys and liver to do their jobs.

This, please - it's not really safe to mess with those things. :)

I use Dove body wash. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Plain soap and water will do the trick. Just remember: it's the scrubbing that counts, not the bubbles.

My daily cleanse works pretty well, get up, brush teeth, relieve self, shower with warm water and soap, hasn't failed me yet.

Would you like recommendations on soap and toothpaste? Or were you planning to throw perfectly good money down a rat hole?

If you're really in a pickle and must cleanse but don't want to use anything too harsh I recommend vinegar and water- nothing cleans my windows and mirrors quite like it!!

    QFT. Dove is lovely stuff.

OP, if you do a search in the forums for cleanses, you'll get all kinds of different information and opinions. I've never done one, but from what I've read on MFP, it's pretty pointless.

I've read coffee makes for an excellent cleanse. The trick is that you don't drink it....

I take a cleanse that my husband supplies.

I don't know what's in it though since it varies. I usually take it before I weigh in. It really helps clean me out.

    Good luck!

    booze works
  • Geesh, everyone is a joker here, got to love it!

Anyhow, as for clenses - I started my diet with the Joe Cross 5 day reboot (you will need a juicer, and a ton of veggie and fruit).
I can't really recommend it that much, even though it kind of worked, I did this with my wife, I was very organized and had a juice every 2 hours (I work from home), she had a harder time maintaining the schedule, and had very bad sugar crashes (I also had a few sugar crashes on days when I forgot, or skipped a "feed") - which brings me to the other reason I don't recommend it... this type of diet is VERY high on carbs and sugars (yes, they are veg and fruit based, but still).
