This sounds like a really delicious, very low-cal flavored water. It would be a nice change from unflavored, or lemon /mint water I usually drink.
However, I would suggest using organic apples or at the very least peeling the apple first. Drinking the soaking the water would be a sure way to ingest the most pesticides from non-organic apples. Apples are almost always #1 on the "dirty dozen" list as they are typically heavily sprayed with insecticides. (especially for the people experiencing throat irritation - you might be having a reaction IMHO.)

Omg that sounds amazing, how did I miss it!.. I think I love you for this drink :P0

Organic does not automatically equal pesticide free.0 -

Ok, anything having to do with recipes and cooking healthy, I am interested in...Read the comments and so many were
> bump <. This is my third day here, so I am a newbie....what does bump mean? Is it like having your recipe pinched as in other sites elsewhere? Just wondering?0 -
While browsing pinterest - pinaddict - one day I stumbled upon a pin that was described as a Detox Spa Water so I decided I'd give it a try!
Core two small apples, whichever kind you prefer, and slice them up and put them into a 2L jug with two cinnamon sticks. Fill the jug halfway with ice and then fill the rest with water. (I like to leave mine in the fridge over night so the flavor circulates longer).
To my surprise, it was delicious, it tastes a bit like apple pie but ZERO calories! (Unless you eat the apple from the bottom afterwards )
I've been drinking it the past week and I've felt a huge change in my body. Apple and Cinnamon are well known to heighten your metabolism.
For all you who are not a fan of drinking water, try this! It's a healthy, natural, sugar free way to add flavor to your water.
(I've also tried boiling the apple and cinnamon before putting it in my jug, it really releases the flavor more!)
I'm super excited to try this. I have been drinking the cucumber water and it's getting old..:drinker:0 -
I've seen this and have yet to try it. Maybe it'll help my cravings for an apple pie. lol0

Is adding the Ice important, or can it be done without Ice?0

I have a question can i use the ground cinnamon instead of the sticks?0
