People who are starving? You meant the ones who disagreed with your approach and have a track record of success at keeping weight off and body recomposition? The ones that actually have advanced knowledge regarding the subject matter? And now you post an angry rant in M&S? Let us all know when you have a few years of success behind your belt.

    Hey.

Have you ever noticed that when the whole "Clearly you're all starving!!!" accusation is tossed out it's by people who probably eat way less than the ones they're yelling about?

I like it when people accuse me of being hangry...

...and my food log is open, so I know they're just being lazy and didn't actually click through to see what I eat.

I was just gonna say. in one of her other posts OP says she's "detoxing" from carbs. PLOT TWIST: she's the hangry one!

    You...are hilarious.

Might have had a better reception had it been food porn :)

That was perfect food porn. You had me at tuna on crackers.

I'm so hungry I could cry. I can't work out what I can have for lunch today, and still get to eat my beef and peanut satay panini for dinner tonight. it's one of those things that are a gastronomic symphony (try saying THAT in a kiwi accent) and you take one single thing out of it, it falls to the ground like jenga.

As to the trolling: I shouldn't take any of this stuff too seriously. I think people who have been duped by these faddy ideas get very protective when they hear them again. But I know what you mean: keep your body digesting food. Keep yourself from going on a rampage through the supermarket chippie and chocolate aisle.

    It's all good. :)

In all honesty, you'll find that most of the people that get accused of being mean are the ones who are actually giving the RIGHT information. Newer people tend to be more sensitive to criticism and people who are veterans of the site and have had success don't always wrap their message in a pretty little package. But, if you listen to the message and keep a sense of humor, you'll do just fine.

Nah, no hating here....never worth it. Life is good :) ....qtgonewild - I thought so to, but remember...THEY DO NOT BURN FAT :)

Yep, agreed! They don't burn fat!!

I know that there are a lot of myths and misconceptions floating about so it is great when people discuss, debate, correct and even provide research to better understand truths or different views :)
^this...i like educating myself...and i learn new things here every day and see myths about weight loss debunked or whatever.

I saw the original post, and I agree the suggestions do not "burn" fat. They were however high GI high protein, low carb snacks that fill you up and fill a nutritional need. Thereby avoiding snacking on empty calories which only leaves you hungry an hour later. So the post was not incorrect just poorly worded, and that will be the fault of the original article, not the person who chose to share it. There was no need for any of those snide and nasty comments. People who are new to these forums are looking for our guidance, advice and encouragement, not to be chased away by snotty remarks.

you're right on. I am so hangry. I just finished a half order of animal style fries from in n out and I should have gone for the full order.

SO. JEALOUS. Can't wait to visit California again just for trips to In n Out!

Ramen has too much sodium. It will puff you up like a balloon. Much better to go with the bacon burger, fries and a shake.

Ramen has too much sodium. It will puff you up like a balloon. Much better to go with the bacon burger, fries and a shake.

Dip the fries in your Ramen soup. The salt from the fries neutralizes the sodium in the Ramen (kinda like magnets repelling each other). That makes it a sodium neutral meal. True story.
