No dear, your butt is not big. Let me put it this way: I went through all of middle school thinking I had a HUGE forehead... all because this fugly ***** that bullied me told me practically every day for three years that I had a big forehead... but I had always thought prior that my forehead was normal! It is. Your butt is as normal as it was before that person said anything about it!
But also think about the context... maybe the person who said it likes your butt... and maybe "big" butts are their thing... then there's what their definiteion of "big" is compared to yours and everyone else's, and the possibility that they may be jealous and wanted to hurt you.
All that aside, who cares! Its your butt and you ARE happy with it :-)0 -
Honey...until your butt gets Kim Kardashian size, it's not big. And honestly, even if it was big, that's awesome! People pay to have a nice shapely rump. Annnnnnd, in some cultures NOT having a big butt is frowned on.0

OP, a few thoughts:
(1) This is a fitness-dentered website, "attention seeking" is what we do. Embrace it. You are allowed to say, "hey, look at me, I'm feeling insecure, please tell me I look okay!!!" Cue squat pics, bikini pics, faceless/shirtless dude pics (wut????), upward glancing selfies, duck face, etc.
(2) You look fantastic. Truly. There is not a damn thing wrong with your butt, or anything else about you.
(3) The dude likes you. Really. The only reason guys look at women's butts is to enjoy looking at them. He's looking for a reason. I've never heard a man say to another man "wow, look how bad that butt looks," but I can't tell you how many times I've said and heard the opposite. The next time he says something, ask him why he keeps staring at your butt.
the time i might look for attention i would embrace it... though during our journey we need people to tell us that we are doing great and just keep going.... Probably needed that motivation and when he said negative it made me feel as if my effort is all waste...

This reminds me: The only thing you need to know when dating a white girl v. a black/latina is that a big butt is an insult to a white girl, and a compliment to the other. And white girls need to get over it because... yeah

No, that's not a big butt! It's not really round enough for me Well, you asked! Folks have different tastes in butts. You'll not please everybody! Some guys do like small ones. Good for them.
My brother back in high school used to tease me about my big butt. He sincerely likes a small butt on a girl and thinks big ones look strange. I told him there are plenty of guys who disagree and I'm not worried, and sure enough one of his friends knew me as the girl with the great *kitten*. Boom!
