This one is too easy. And cheesy, since the answer is cheese.
There's very little in the realm of "interesting" bacon. Sure some may be maple flavored, or applewood or whatever, but the variations are subtle. Cheese on the other hand can offer entirely different experiences. Feta, Cheddar, Mozzarella, Camembert, and Gouda have entirely different flavor profiles. That's just a few of the famous cheeses, not even getting into the more esoteric ones not mentioned in Monty Python's "Cheese Shop" skit.0 -
