    Honey Crisp - no question about it, best texture, flavor and consistency. I have always been a lover of apples even when I was not eating healthy, and the best is Honey Crisp but they are only available to me in the Fall. For year round, the most consistent is Golden Delicious in flavor and texture.

    Jonagold - a crispy juicy mix between a jonathan (red) and golden delicious (green). Sweet but not overly so, and perfectly crisp. YUMMMMMMMMY

    Agreed! Especially if they are fresh picked by you. I go to a local orchard by my house around this time of the year and pick my own.

    Pink Lady is nice. I also like the Golden Delicious, but have to pick the ones with the most russet color blushes, they taste the best!
    I actually put a Golden Delicious apple in my shake this morning, yummu!

    Pink Lady and Honey Crisp are two of my favorites. There is a fairly new variety of apple this year called a Sweetango Apple- it's a cross between a Zestar and a Honey Crisp! Yummo!

    Jazz! But I only buy them on sale. I'll take any variety of apple. Something I have found is, imo, cold apples of any type are waaaay better than room temp apples.
