135 to 105 in 3 months

Hey,

So, three months ago I was 135 pounds and 5'3 1/2. I have a very small frame. My stomach was bulging, I had a muffin top, my thighs touched when I stood straight, my thighs had gotten to the point of popping out past my bottom and creating what appeared to be a "second" *kitten*. My arm (when pressed down) was larger than my calf is now. My face (very oval) had become completely round...I don't hold weight well. I looked as if I were about 160ish pounds. But on a positive note, my breasts grew and that was cool while it lasted!

I took to dieting, NO exercise, and in three months I got down to 105, which I haven't been at since I was 15 (21, now). So that's pretty cool. Only now am I started to do very light exercising (which brings up another point):

I only have time/energy to exercise at midnight. It's religious. Midnight I get the sudden inspiration to exercise! I googled it and there isn't much proven negativity to this, and better late than never, right? Anyone else going through these late night spurts of energy?

Okay, back to the main topic! I deleted my pictures by accident in a morning stupor of me beforehand; but it was grotesque, so you aren't missing much. I literally looked like a troll. Reference: http://www.daniele-tirinnanzi.com/gallery/troll_cu.jpg

Anyway, my successes that I enjoy more than losing weight:

*I have ALL KINDS of crazy energy. My entire life I never really moved much. I'd put me at 30 minutes of total movement (kitchen, bathroom, showers, whatever else) per day. I even started taking vitamin B pills and iron pills because I thought maybe I had some strange problem. But now, holy cow. Today, for instance, I took it upon myself to reorganize my entire bathroom and clean it from top to bottom - same with my husband's bathroom. I went into my pretty sizeable garage and also reorganized that (pretty intensive labor - before and after pictures of that would be more impressive than my body before and afters!), ran around with my dog, cooked a pretty big dinner all from scratch, swept, mopped, vacuumed, and did all the dishes. I am NOT done, either! I'm just taking a break because my vacuum cleaner literally overheated and is doing the cool down thing.

*EVERYTHING around me is sparkling clean. ~See above

*I only sleep about five hours a day, coming from 12-13.

*I am rarely hungry.

*I never think about my size now. And all of my clothes fit except for my size 1 pants 'cause guess what? I'm a size 0. I am wearing clothes from when I was 19 that never fit me. Check out my profile pic of me shamelessly showing off my butt - those panties? Yeah! From when I was 19! I never wore them before because they squeezed me so incredibly tight if I breathed they woulda broke apart!

*I feel very internally peaceful and almost spiritual.

Cons:
*I spend almost all of my spare time with a MFP tap open.

*I also excessively google produce markets.

EEeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Okay, so, sometimes I hate reading these and there's a girl or guy who was ~300 pounds and got down to ~100, shows these awesome ab pictures and never tells you how s/he did it. I highly respect all diets and whatever works for people is great. So, please, do not criticize mine; I do not want to change, and I am not trying to change the way you eat. I am simply putting this here incase someone is curious. :-) Check with your doctor before and all of that ~ I know it's safe on me based on past diagnosis, but I wouldn't want anyone to do something too extreme for their body and wouldn't be safe.

Ate 1 cup of dry rice cooked (translates to about 3 cooked, I guess) with squeezed lemon and cayenne pepper. I got bored so I changed it to 1/4th cup tomato sauce and onions. I got bored and added nutritional yeast. Awesome! For the first month this is pretty much exclusively what I ate. I was fine. A little light headed, but good.

So, the second month was exactly the same except with a fruit or two added daily.

Third month was my last few pounds, so I pretty much ate the rice (same way) and whatever fruits or vegetables I wanted. I'm still doing this, but with a ton of fruit and vegetables and I'm maintaining between 105 (low) and 108 (high). :D

so you only ate rice with tomato sauce?
nothing else? (besides the fruit you added in)
And did you only eat this once per day?

If so, that sounds absolutely miserable.

    Congrats on reaching your goal

    Usually 1,200 a day! :-)
And yes, that is precisely what I had. Oh, and onion like I wrote up above. And it is fantastic. I have never felt so good in my life! I am so happy you read the part where I didn't feel like being criticized, but thanks anyway for the congratulations! <3

Beans, artichokes, broccoli, brussell sprouts, sweet corn, soy, etc.

By the way, http://thebananagirl.com/but-where-do-u-get-your-protein.php - kinda cool.

Do you consume the entire dish of cooked rice throughout the day or only eat it once a day? I missed that part.

I'm having a hard time saying congrats...

I'm glad you're happy with your body, I just hope no impressionable young girls or other people follow what you did, as it sounds REALLY unhealthy.

Do you plan to go back to eating a normal healthy diet or are you going to survive on rice for the rest of your life?

that's pretty rude, you don't have nearly enough information about her from one post to try to diagnose someone with a real problem online.

No, but it was implied. I don't think having tons of energy and feeling better than you have in years is a common symptom of an ED, and she even stated that she was eating about 1200 a day, which is really not that extreme either.

Lots of people with ED's claim to eat more than they actually do and claim to feel awesome. Not giving an opinion one way or the other, just pointing out an obvious flaw in your logic.

You should read the stories of those recovering from eating disorders. Many "thought" they had lots of energy too. But all I did was provide links just in case. I made no accusations. If you feel defensive, maybe you might need to think why instead of projecting. :flowerforyou: Best of luck to you

You're all actually reporting someone who said they ate around 1200 calories, without exercising, because you don't like the types of foods she ate?

I think that's a little ridiculous. Personally, I would not eat the same thing everyday for 3 months, but if she is getting enough calories and has energy and feels well, I don't see the problem here. Maybe if she said she was eating 600 calories or something, but I clearly read 1200 in one of her posts.
  • Maybe you had some kind of gluten or lactose sensitivity and when you cut out most other foods you inadvertently did an elimination diet, the energy and weightloss would be consistent with that theory. If youre eating only rice youre going to crash from having not enough protein. This is not sustainable, sorry hun.
