"Totes" instead of totally
Loose/Lose. Is it really that hard? They are even pronounced differently.
"It is what it is"0 -
2 words
Axed - I axed my mom to borrow her car.
Pacific - Is there a pacific reason you're not answering your phone?0 -
pecker and moist are the worst words in existence
This exactly.
"Moist..." There is never an appropriate time to use that word.
Cake?0 -
One of my friends often says she's going to "catch up" with a guy when it's a first date/hookup. What do you have to catch up on? You've never met!0
-
people say "somethink" its friggin 'something' is it that hard to get right you lazy mouthed basterds?0
-
"My bad!"0
-
All of these are funny I'll add women calling their boobs "the girls".
^^Agreed, also referring to them as puppies!
My vote for worst word is *kitten* - it makes me want to insert screwdrivers in my ears & pluck out my eyes.
What about sweater kittens?0 -
"Know what I mean?" URGH!!!0

I don't like how words are now used by abbreviated versions. ie "adorbs", "presh", "ridic", etc. I notice business are doing it now, too. ie American Family Insurance calls itself "Am Fam". Why? Why? Why are we so lazy? LOL.0

My friend used to take things for granite. :huh:0

Wal Marts... "Goin' to Wal Marts, ya need anythang?"
Hot water heater
Warsher and dryer0 -
Yes, axed is very annoying; how hard is it to say asked....also people mentioned back in the day, titties and boobies, all the text shortcuts bug me, although I do use them, because I hate texting takes too long to say so little, so I prefer a phone call over texting any day....also preggies, dude doesn't really bother me as long as it applies to a male, but one that nobody has mentioned that irritates the heck out of me is using the slang term "Peeps" for people that sounds so darn stupid and it always makes me think of Easter, imagine that...lol:noway:0

I took my baby moon in Korea. So you can just get out.0

I hate when people insert letters (usually an R) into words that aren't there like "sherbeRt" when the word is "sherbet" or "maRscapone" for "mascarpone."0

Sweater kittens is also not acceptable. Nor are sweater's made from kittens. However, kittens in sweaters are adorable!0 -

text speak when you're not writing a text - actually even if you are writing a text it's annoying. Why do I have to do all the work deciphering what you've written?
Oh and I've heard this a lot in the sandwich queue at work recently "can I get a cheese sandwich?" - what? No, you can "have" a cheese sandwich or you could ask someone to "get" one for you but if you "get" it, it means you work there.0 -
"At the end of the day". Mostly because of how much I hear it used. I used to rather dislike pet names as well (hun, sug, sweetie, etc), but then I moved to the south and of course, I find myself using them on people without thinking about it now. I will not cave for "ya'll" though. I. Will. Not.0

At the end of the day.......................
I'm not being funny but..........................
Run it up the flagpole and see how it flies (more of a corporate thing)
The New Word - (in relation to restructuring at work)
Yummy Mummy - arrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhh! No, just no!!
sarnies - they are SANDWICHES! What are you??? 5?
Baby talk and referring to yourself in the third person - not acceptable EVER!!!!0 -

I'd love to be able to say y'all convincingly but it just doesn't work with a British accent!!0 -
It drives me NUTS when people add an s on the end of the grocery store "Kroger" and call it "Krogers." I know a guy who is a manager at that store, and he even calls it that. Wtf, he obviously knows what the name of the store is!0

"Twerking"...ugly word for an equally ugly act.0

Juice when referring to battery life on devices. Just how Juice sounds in general really0

Juice when referring to battery life on devices. Just how Juice sounds in general really
Juice got me thinking about when people say O.J. instead of orange Juice, All that does is remind me of is O.J. Simpson and I don't need to be reminded of that.
Yummo! That just needs to stop.
"That's how I roll" - my 11 year old said that yesterday, I told him he sounded like an idiot.0 -
The most annoying word used on this site is "journey". Closely followed by "lifestyle change".0
-
"baby mama"
This definitely and of course "baby daddy"0 -
Someone told me they were on vaca. I can understand it when you're writing and don't feel like typing all the letters, or don't have space for all of them, but in speech? Also, don't like even boobs, let alone boobies. Phrases that become so 'cool' that they are repeated again and again, and sometimes in a semi-controlling way: 'ya think?'; 'It is what it is' "Don't even go there.' There was one guy who kept telling me, 'ya think?' as though I were saying something stupid. I just wanted to hit him, but that wouldn't have been polite. Grrrrh!0

literally.
As in, my head LITERALLY exploded.
This one isn't going to get better for you- Oxford English Dictionary actually includes a definition for the word 'literally' to describe how the word is used 'deliberately in non-literal contexts,' and apparently has been used that way for many years. Doesn't make me like it any more though... For more: http://blog.oxforddictionaries.com/2013/08/literally/0 -
"Going forward" -- more of a corporate thing0

"Beast it" What my spin instructor says ll the time. I want to have a great workout out, but I don't want to be a beast or act like one.
"Whatever" or "Whatevs" and the eye rolling that usually goes with it.
"Man -up"
"How's that working for you"
"Gal"
"Worst" or "worst ever" when it's clearly not the worst. Child abuse, rape and murder would be among the worst, not a bad movie, bad hair day, etc0
