la·sa·gna also la·sa·gne (l-zäny)
n.
1. Pasta in flat, very wide strips.
2. A dish made by baking such pasta with layers of sauce and fillings such as cheese or meat.
once you take out the pasta, it is no longer a lasagna.......it is a spaghetti squash casserole0 -
I appreciate your post. I LOVE lasagna, but I hate the calories and all the carbs that come with it. Haters gonna hate, so don't worry about that.0

375 cals per serving = giant runners appetite
Are you kidding with this? :noway:
And the "lasagne" - you make the whole of Italy weep
chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and cilantro - since when are they in lasagna.
Couldn't be further away from the actual dish.
Rename it - repost it. You'll get slightly better responses.0 -

Wait, why is 375 calories bad? That's like, an excellent very well behaved dinner for me and I'm on a 1300 base calorie diet (excluding exercise). My dinners usually clock in higher than that.
Oh, and I agree with the others that say this is not lasagna. I wish people would just call things what they actually are, not what they wish they were eating.0 -

This. Most of my meals are from 700 to an obscene amount of calories0 -
this is my new dog "Fluffy" It doesn't have a brain, and it's actually not an animal at all, but i'm calling it a dog, even though it's not.0 -
It's a chunky sauce, not lasagna.
You do understand that lasagna needs layers right? :indifferent:0 -
Something to try! :-)0

Sounds yummy and spicy, can make with spaghetti squash for me and noodles for the bf with the metabolism of a 4 year old boy.0

It's not rudeness. It's trying to save the world from foods that are being passed off as something else. It's fraud and deception.0 -

Perhaps title should be "Lasagne Free Lasagne".0 -

Why is it such a big deal to ask people to stop calling their recipes something that they're not?
Like someone said earlier, you're just pretending its lasagna. Why lie to yourself about it? If you want lasagna, then eat some and go for a run. If you want a spaghetti squash salad with cottage cheese, then eat that. I'm trying to understand how a self-proclaimed runner has an issue with carbs. Don't you need those for serious running?0 -
750 calories? For that I could make real lasagne with noodles. Most of my dinners are that much or more anyway.
This looks like a tasty dish, though. But you could use thinly sliced zuccini instead of spaghetti squash and layer it like lasagna if you don't want noodles. Though I can't imagine why a runner would be worried about a litle bit of pasta.0 -

I was thinking all of this. I've actually made a lasagna for less calories WITH actual lasagna noodles.0 -
Thanks!! Imma put that recipe right next to the one I have for bread free sammiches and liquid free soups.0

So, in other words, this is a recipe for meat sauce. Ok.
*shrugs*0 -
I was hoping for a zucchini-noodle lasagna(which I love). I am dissapoint.0

I agree ! The OP, and many others like it, are deceptive. I think deceptive thread titles are rude!0 -

Same here! My normal lasagna runs about 550 calories per serving, and it includes lasagna, as well as mozzarella cheese and ricotta cheese. I add a salad and/or veggies on the side, and it's a filling meal.0 -
