    Funny but genuinely true.

More people would be more successful if they ate ice cream more often.

And happier. Ice cream is the Prozac of foods.

Wonder if it's powers would multiply when added with other stuff I've eaten while losing weight?

I think you may be on to something! *grabs a spoon and some cotton candy ice cream*

Oooh...have you tried Cold Stone cotton candy MIXED with mint chocolate chip with extra chocolate chips????

I haven't, but that sounds amazing! I have Hershey's Cotton Candy ice cream with sprinkles.

actually the proper way to lose weight is to blend ice cream and raspberry ketones together and drink it between 8pm and 9pm which is when you are primed for 'fat burning' .....

I've figured it out. Before losing weight I rarely ate ice cream or gelato or other frozen treats. Now I eat it nightly and I'm down 20 pounds.

Ergo, following the MFP logical property of correlation always equals causation, ice cream is a magical weight loss supplement.

Conclusion: We should all eat more ice cream.

    Discuss.

I agree. I used to never eat dessert. Now I eat it every day. Mostly ice cream. Got down 45 lbs. Win.

Why would you ruin ice cream like that?

    Heathen.

You forgot to note to only buy "clean" ice cream and ketones.

Darn, I though this thread would help me to lose 50 more lbs by next month....too high of expectations ;)
  • I have to agree with the ice cream thing. I pretty much polished off a tub in 3 days and lost half a pound. I still dont know how i managed that...

I won't believe it until you make a youtubez video about it! Then its true for sure
  • I'm glad you told me today. You know that friendly gray-haired guy on all the BP commercials about the oil spill that assures viewers that BP is committed to the Gulf. Today, at work, there was an ice cream social at work (I work at the Gulf Coast Recovery Organization that works on the cleanup/recovery effort) as he was retiring. Don't worry - I guess BP is still committed to the Gulf, as I have a job still, but I did eat 2 scoops of ice cream. I still think I will keep losing as I exercise my butt off tonight.

Thank you for not being selfish and sharing your ultimate secret with us.

What about ice cream AND potato crisps? Would that double my weight loss?

Hmm, I don't know. I'd have to do research, but for the sake of science I'll use my own body for this experiment. I shall eat potato chips 3 days a week, probably with lunch, and observe the outcome for at least 8 weeks.

    Science, mfp style.

Your unselfishness knows no bounds! My own experiment with eating chips every night last week was that I lost 1.76 pounds.

[sigh] Amateurs! In July last year, I weighed 137 kilos (that's 302 lbs imperial). Then I watched the Hobbit movie and reread The Hobbit and I decided to have as many meals as hobbits do.

Today, I'm 103.8 kilos (228.84 lbs). That's a whopping 33.2 kilo (73.2 lbs) loss over 15 months (2.2 kg or 4.8 lbs loss per month; I only joined MFP last August, so my ticker shows a smaller number).

So clearly ultimate secret to weight loss is to dine like a hobbit!

If only I knew how elves ate... they're much slimmer than hobbits.

Meal labels in my diary: breakfast, elvensies, lunch, first dinner, second dinner, after dinner. True story.

Not quite full on Hobbit, but I'm working towards it. This additional element to the ultimate secret shall be carefully considered.

    Mine are:
    • Breakfast (I record both 1st and 2nd breakfast into this)
    • Elevensies
    • Luncheon
    • Afternoon Tea
    • Dinner
    • Supper

I would have 1st and 2nd breakfast as separate meals, but MFP only allows 6 meals total, unfortunately.
