Saturday can be the best workout day. The usual distraction of work doesn't come into play. You can bike further, run longer, or lift more sets. It's all up to you.0
-
With the colder weather coming up, I have less daylight hours after work to exercise, so my Saturdays and Sundays are my longer workout days because I can start much earlier in the day.0
-
With my kids sports, weekends are the only time I can work out sometimes. If I get the timing right, I'm not in a rush and can get more in. Also, it's usually not as crowded, so no waiting. Why wouldn't you work out on a Saturday? Plan on doing something tomorrow too. Depending on the weather, it'll either be at the gym or outside. For me, weekends are great for working out. But if it's a good rest day for you, go for it.0

because i dislike crowds and on Sat night the gym is a ghost town so I have the place to myself... except for the creepy counter guy who tries to hit on me when i'm leaving...0
-
I always work out on Saturday and Sunday. I don't have as much free time during the week and going to the gym on the weekends gives me something to do/look forward to.0
-
Because I want to eat more ... And drink some, too... When I have a kick-*kitten* Saturday workout, I'm guilt-free.0
-
honestly.. its my only rest day of the week.. lol. Sunday is cardio only..then m-f cardio and crossfit.. t/t/f heavy lifts. Saturday I'm usually spent.0
-
Because it's one of two days I don't have to drag my *kitten* out of bed at 5am to get a workout in.
And because I can go on a 2.5hr bike ride and not be late for work.
And because my wife is home Sat too and I don't want a Honey-Do list on top of my own stuff. So...I bike.
No question. I like Sat workouts.0 -
Cause it is possible to become unhealthy on Saturdays too.0
-
Uhhh... same reason I work out on other days? You know, like, to work out?0
-
Why not? Is Saturday something different from any other day?0

^^This for sure!0 -
Start your weekend right! Get up early, get to the gym, have an awesome breakfast afterwards!
Besides, you get to have more alcohol if you've burnt more calories0 -
Because I like to workout anytime.......even after work today on a Sunday0

Because it's my #1 tip to a healthy weekend!0 -
Because I've had a good night's sleep (most of the time) and have enough time to spend three hours playing around with my barbell if I want to (and then eating ALL THE THINGS)!0

To maintain my streak of going to the gym every day. Today was day 48.0

Gym is usually empty on Saturday afternoon/evening?0

best way to start the weekend. 45 min cardio today for me, 800 free calories to use on my cheat meal tomorrow0

Saturday is my favourite day of the week to work out.
For a start, I sleep in a bit later than the weekdays, and don't have to rush to get there (it's not a work day) and I can do a longer weights routine and choose whether to do some cardio at the gym or head down to the beach for a long walk afterwards. The options are endless and I've got the luxury of time to do something a bit different.
Exercise makes me feel good too
Also, as stated above, it earns some extra calories toward a glass of wine on Saturday night or guilt free dinner out or takeaway.
Why work out on Saturday? Well, why not?0 -
I choose to workout on Sat bc it fits my schedule and it's a whollllle day that I can use to workout whenever I want to.0
-
Because I don't want to, but I'm not gonna let myself wimp out like a little b*tch!
I was still hurting this morning from my last legs day and I really didn't feel like going to the gym. So I made myself go and work out even harder than normal. I ended up adding 20lbs to my deadlift after plateauing for something like 6 or 7 weeks. This kind of stuff always happens to me — whenever I'm not feeling like going to the gym at all, I end up having these awesome workouts, running faster, longer, lifting heavier, hitting PR's and feeling like the biggest badass in the world by the time I leave.0 -

I have a better idea - how about you explain to us why someone unfit and overweight *shouldn't* dedicate a non-work day to exercise and maximal calorie burn?0 -

Because my husband can stay with the kids for a few hours and it's the only time to get my long workout in for my triathalon training.0

Well you ate didn't yout?0

YES YES YES (workout on Saturday)0

I would rather do it on a Saturday than a Sunday. That and I don't have to get up at 4:50 a.m.like I do during the week, I can workout in the afternoon.
Sunday is my off day and I can concentrate on other things that I need to get done.0
