Thank you I don't eat them all the time, but if I need to get some big numbers in then those are my go to foods - I just make sure I stay within my calorie goal and I still lose weight.0 -

^ Do what she does. You diet sounds very boring and you don't want to live like that forever do you? Look up IIFM. I started out eating so clean all the time too... not doing that again when there is no need for it. Very boring way to live and we have to stay slim forever.0 -

I'm with her but my list would look like this:
1.Any Food I want on Any given day in portions needed to make my Macro's and Calorie Goals...
By a Food Scale measure out your portions and hit your numbers. There are calorie dense foods like Nuts, Dairy, Grains(rice, etc) which I use too but any food can get you there if you eat enough of it... Best of Luck0 -
Pizza! Never enough pizza! Sushi. Indian food. Thai food. Chinese food. Pretty much any meal at a restaurant. Or desert- fried ice cream ftw! And on the strictly "healthy" side of things- avocados, almonds, olive oil, cream, etc. I never have ANY trouble eating enough calories.
Damn, food is wonderful.
eta: I only put "healthy" in quotation marks because it's my feeling that all those other things are fine too, as long as you eat them in moderation.0 -
Lately? Cottage cheese, regular cheese, peanut butter banana bread, biscuits with butter and honey or jam. But mostly cookies.0

I eat whatever I feel like that day. Sometimes its pizza, sometimes it Mexican food. I will also splurge on donuts or snickers if my weight has dropped. I also recently bought the full-sugar, pure cane sugar:) soda, instead of diet. This week, I am enjoying bagels with cream cheese. I also switched to butter, heavy cream, and coconut oil for my coffee. I don't enjoy all of these foods in one day, but it is nice to know that you can have some indulgences while still maintaining your physique.0

I find my rice and pasta dishes are always too low calorie (often 300-400 kcal a serving).
For additional calories, if I'm getting 'behind':
1) olive oil
2) chocolate
3) drink my calories (wine, juice, milk, beer, cider etc)
4) ice cream
5) avocado
6) nuts, including peanut butter
Fruit is always part of the mix so I don't think of it as adding calories.0 -

Olive oil? Hmm, never tried that. I know it's good for mono-saturated fats, but never really used it0 -
Similar to yours! nuts, nut butters (especially peanut butter SPECIFICALLY PB&Co dark chocolate dreams)
I also really like making my own burrito bowls with guacamole, whole grain rice, black beans, cheese and sour cream.
YUMMY0 -
Pizza
Booze of any kind
Halloween candy (more sepecifically choicolate)
Nachos
McAnything0 -
Full-fat salad dressing made with olive oil
Cheese
Ice Cream
Burgers
Wine!
Chocolate
Butter
Pizza
I don't consider rice, pasta or oats to be calorie rich. Those are moderate calorie items in my food diary.
But, I guess it all depends on your TDEE. I usually aim for 2100-2400 calories a day, so foods with fat are kind of necessary to hit my calorie goal. I feel best when my macros are in the 50/30/20 range.0 -
oats
peanut butter
steak
beer
chicken breast
brown rice
whole wheat pasta
coffee0 -

I agree with all of those above. Peanut butter for sure, because of the fat calories. Rice, oats, and fruits don't really add up that quickly in my opinion. Spaghetti can be heavy depending on the portion.
Or you can go with the IIFYM crowd or the "anti-clean eating" hippies and just eat like 6 donuts and drink 4 protein shakes. You're done for the day.0 -

Once you meet you protein, fat/ fiber/micronutrient goals for the day, THEN you MAY have discretionary calories left to do as you choose. It is not eating donuts ALL day. One or two, sure. :drinker:
And back to the OP's question.
1. Ice cream
2. Peanut Butter
3. Bacon
4. Pasta.
5. Chocolate0 -

It would need to be more like 8 donuts and 6 protein shakes, but....

Fat is the most calorie dense, so anything high in fat, even if it means adding olive or coconut oil to everything you cook or eat.0
