Agreed!
Tools of the trade:
Food: The right kind of food (the key is preparation and knowing what you are ingesting. Going out with a night on friends? - have a peek at the menu beforehand. You've purchased a take out meal? Do you have to finish it all? Fruit and package convenience foods (tins of tuna (John West has some with a spoon included), salads, yoghurts etc. are great for on the go.
Number Crunching: Know your BMR and use MFP. If you are going to the gym, it may be worthwhile investing in a heart rate monitor. You don't really want to be spending an 1hr or so there and not know what you've achieved... If you've spent 20minutes on the bike and burnt say 200 calories - you know you've only burnt off 2 bananas or your morning coffee or something...if helps motivate you and push you harder.
Kitchen Scales & Measuring Cups- invaluable when you are making dinner or measuring out snack packs (like nuts and dried fruit).
Support Network/Gym Buddy/Gym membership or Home Equipment if you are exercising. Keep yourself accountable and engaged to keep on going

Unfortunately, someone asking that type of question seriously is not that unusual on here. Glad you are not one of them0 -
