    Hi All!

    Nice progress! I've been really stressed the past week and a half and the diet is suffering as well as my body. I'm now sick and have decided to take it easy. I will get back on track eventually but for now...it is what it is.

    if anyone wants to do a challenge this weekend, it is: TO CREATE A RECIPE THREAD IN THE MFP RECIPE FORUM. i will post the challenge on thursdays after the weigh-in. it will be a random idea and you can chose to participate or not. if you do, have fun inspiring others to cook! :)

    Too much frivolity this weekend. Lost focus.
    I'm doubling my efforts - walking at lunch and still going to the gym as many days
    as I can stand it between now and Thanksgiving. Really want to break 20 lbs and
    be ahead for the holidays. I am going to have a good number next week, I declare it!

    I would love to lose 20lbs by Thanksgiving. Im on a 1200-1300 calorie a day diet and working out 120 min per day. Is this enough or should I be eating less and upping the workout?

    tess, we'd love to have you join us!

    not to discourage you but there are only 5 weeks from now until thanksgiving so 20 pounds may not be a reasonable goal; 10 pounds by thanksgiving (20 pounds by christmas) sounds really doable. :) your diet and exercise goals will really help you become more healthy. i would not recommend eating less than 1200 unless your doctor tells you to.

    11/23 (goal: 127) - Final Weigh In:

    - been sick and was actually over 145 over the weekend; plus a PM weight. May weigh in again in A.M. No where near my goal though and it gets further and further each week. :-( I would be SOOOO happy to be back at 140 in the a.m. I'd be okay with being 1 "week" off on my goals... but right now, I'm 3 weeks off. I could be totally good with 129 by Tday!

    I'm just wondering once we get to our first thanksgiving goal can we extend this group til Christmas or New Years depending on whatever everyone wants? I just think feeling responsible to report my progress over the week really keeps me motivated or makes me so guilty when I eat bad that I stop and regroup.

    Week one down and Ive lost 8lb since I last weighed myself in august. 10lbs by thanksgiving would make me very happy. The weekends are my hardest time since thats when everyone wants to go out and have mimosa brunches and wine dinners. Universe and mfp people, please send me some strength to make it till monday and stay on plan.

    I'm with you. Unfotrtunatley 20 pounds by Thanksgiving may be out of reach for me. I need all of your support, encouragement and motivation to inspire me to make it through the holidays still losing weight. So - I vote lets do it again. Maybe we could call our thread "Avoiding the 12 pounds of Christmas":laugh: Whatever we call it I'm in.

    Not sure I'm going to make it either. Back at 140.8. If I'm REALLY diligent and cautious, I MIGHT hit this week's goal but by the weekend (as its Monday and all). We'll see.

    That is an awesome name! I'm so glad everyone wants to continue. My goal is also feeling out of reach. I did horrible this weekend. My boyfriends best friend and his girlfriend came to visit so we ate out several times. My grandma is sick (she'll be okay) which was a little stressful and I have an amazing amount of school stress going on. All together it lead me to eating WAY too much and making pretty poor choices (aka candy lol). I weighed this morning and I'd gained 3.8 since last week. Oy! I hope its water weight and will go away by wednesday.
