I always like the names James, it is the family name for the first male born. My first son was going to be called James.
When I got pregnant, there had been no females born on the paternal side for 90 yrs, so it was a given that I was having a boy. Room was decorated for a boy, clothes bought etc, Imagine my surprise when a girl popped out!! Whilst I was still in theatre, her dad named her Louise. I don't know if it was the drugs or whatever, but I called her Lucy for 3 weeks.... Now, 16 yrs later, I just call her poohbear0 -

:noway: You've been thinking about this a lot, haven't you? :laugh:0 -
Aiden, Spencer...Just realized that these are names of kids on General Hospital. They're still cute names, though.I like Derek - but have to admit, that isn't how I would spell it.Just curious - how on earth else would you spell it???
Derek is standard normal spelling - its not a name with other ways of spelling - like, say, Catherine/Kathryn
Oh ok, I haven't seen it spelt that way - if you google Derek you get lots too - so might depend where you live which is the done thing.
I know you can spell any name different ways - but some names, like Adam, really only have one standard spelling - when others, like Catherine, have several.0 -

Derrik - the most common is Derrick but I would drop the C0 -
Thank you so much everyone! So many of the suggestions are awesome. However, I have a huge family so, obviously, there are many names already used. Then, unfortunately, I live in Utah - home of huge families and tons of kids - which makes for so very very many names being common.
I have keep written down each name that I like. I hope that you guys will keep following this thread. I am hoping for a few opinions on some of them after I talk to my husband.0 -
