Hi there guys,
Seeing I'm in Australia, and it's my Monday, I guess I get to weigh in first!
I started at 76kg (167.5 lb) last Monday, I fluctuated up to 77 (170 lb), and I'm back at 76kg. So I'll take that as not a gain.
My goal for today is to make it to 8 cups of water, I'm still very new to all this, and yesterday realised I drank no water at all. A bit scary really.
I have one of my assignments due on Monday so I'm hoping to get that knocked out today. I'll see how I go. I have another 6 assignments due within 2 weeks, so keep your fingers crossed for me.
Any hints on studying like mad and keeping the diet in check and the exercise up I'd appreciate it! Thanks!!0 -
Well I have done 2hrs of my workout, Wii biggest loser (wii is playing up) I done the same work out 3 times & about 5 mins to the end. O well that's the choc burned off.
I'm excited about weighing-in (untie flow will add) but I know that I'm not going to loss much this wk. I'll just have to wait n see.0 -
I'm getting ready for church, but I have to share some news real quick. I started MFP in January at 291 pounds. I lost 30 in the first 3 months, but from April til now I have been fluctuating between 261-265. I weighed in this morning and FINALLY broke 260! I am at 259.4! That's exciting for me anyway!
Have a great day!!!
Karen
Whoo Hoo!! Great job!!0 -
Today I have drank over 13 glasses of water. I also got in 105 minutes of exercise (I might have been a little excited about trying out my new HRM, lol) and am thinking about some light stretching, etc. later.
What type of HRM did you get? I have been looking for one.0 -
Ok i messed this post all up trying to tell Karen great job on the break thru!
Thank you!! :flowerforyou:
Now I just gotta make it stick and not go back up!0 -

Time management becomes your best friend when dieting and surviving a school schedule
Stock up on healthy snacks and plan healthy meals in advance--saves the trouble and calories of ordering pizza
Be realistic about how long you can learn in one session (I don' t think I could tolerate studying more than 1 hour of research at a time!)
Set goals for how long you study and rewards when you complete your goals, both during and when you finish studying for the day e.g. exercise, favorite TV show etc
If you study at home, and snacking is a diversion from studying, try moving study time to a neutral location such as the library
Hope they help!0 -
I know I'm a bit early too, but I don' t have access to a scale tomorrow, so I weighed myself this am. I'm down 4lbs!! weighed in 166.8 this am!!! WHOOP WHOOP!!! Hope everyone else is having success this week and let's keep it up for the next 9 weeks!!
I was bad for posting daily, but I did get my water in everyday and exercise every day Turbo Fire Week 2 begins tomorrow!!!0 -
I have had a busy couple of days with work. I have been getting in all of my water with no problem. I always drink it with a straw and find that it helps me consume it faster. I have also been under calories the past few days. But did not get any exercise in yesterday. I had to work at 9 am and then my husband and I took a road trip. It was really nice.
I tried the Subway breakfast sandwiches yesterday and they were not too bad but lots of sodium from what I could find. Then my husband wanted Fazoli's. I did not make a wise choice there but what I did eat was good and I was still under calories. Then my favorite part was that we went to Whole Foods and Trader Joes. I could not figure out what to buy since it was my first time there. I picked up a little bit at each store and will have a list for my next visit.
My plan for the Halloween candy is easy since both of my kids are over 18. I will buy a couple of bags, mostly things my husband likes and I have no interest in such as Laffy Taffy. Anything left will be sent with my husband to his work or sent to my son and his platoon in Japan.
Since I did not exercise yesterday, I went on a 30 minute walk tonight. I wanted to go this afternoon when I got off work, but it started raining. But for my relaxtion, I am getting caught up on reading posts.
I have been trying new things to eat this week to. I have found that I like hummus but I am trying to figure out things to eat with it. The same with salsa. What do you eat with it?
I also tried couscous tonight and that was good. I used my steamer to make fresh green beans.
I can't wait to weigh in tomorrow. Hope everyone had a good day too.0 -

So I thought that today was Monday. I woke up, got my oldest up, dressed, fed, and ready for school. Went to get my youngest up and was like "wait a second..." looked at the phone and was like "****". Ugh.
Today was a productive day though. Did 30 day shred at like 8am and cleaned my carpets the rest of the day. Was under my calorie goal too
Tomorrow I have to finish cleaning the carpets.
Hopefully tomorrow when I weigh in I will have lost some weight! Wednesday is my last weigh-in for the fitness challenge, didn't lose as much as I wanted for that...but still did good. 10 pounds is 10 pounds0 -
how do i become part of this challenge?0
-
I did manage to drink 10 glasses of water today.
I wasn't under my calories today. I may have to wait until next Monday or so to weigh in because I don't want to be too discouraged. I did have a 3 pound loss..prob gained some, not much I guess...but I plan to workout this week and give it all and start fresh.
Sometimes weigh in on Monday's gets a little too diffacult because i get curious on any loss and weigh in before that, so therefore I am working on that issue.
Take care, everyone and welcome to the new week thats about to start. Rest well!0 -

awesome are there any challenges for this week?
The regular goals every day are to stay under your calories and drink at least 10 cups of water. PoshTaush, the leader of this group, usually adds something new to try out, but I haven't seen one yet for tomorrow.0 -
Today's update:
I exercised for 45 minutes, but I went over on my calories, and only had 4 cups of water. I weighed this morning, a day early, and lost 1.9 pounds total since the start of the challenge last week. I will probably still weigh myself tomorrow morning and see what kind of effect today's choices had on my weight.
I'm ready for a new week and I hope everyone has a great weigh in tomorrow!0 -
Hey Everyone!! Sorry I'm late updating the challenge for Monday! I'm so impressed with the weigh ins that have already occurred! You all are absolutely AMAZING!!! Seee....I TOOOOLLLDDD YOUUUUU!!!
I'm super excited to weigh in for myself in the morning as it's only 11pm here.
Ok, I will be leaving town for a couple of days tomorrow, so I'm going to post the next 3 days challenges.... Everyone help the others find this if there are people asking!
My hubby and I are going camping/hiking in Arkansas, so I'm not sure if the campsite will have wireless internet connections. So, if you don't hear from me until Wednesday or Thursday, never fear, I will be back!
Ok...

I fell off the bandwagon a bit over the weekend and this morning (Monday in Australia!) weighed in at 1kg/2 pounds heavier than last week! Kinda scary but I'm hoping I do so much exercise these days that I'll bounce back better than I used to and can still make the goal. I still want to make the goal! I guess I need to find better ways of comforting myself when I'm tired and sick of 'being good'. I missed out on 3 days exercise too. Had done about 2-3 hours every day for about 10 days (probably why I was so tired)0
-
I get down on myself too. Im really into this site and its an amazing motivator. Can I join in on your group?0
-
OK fofr those taking this 10 wk challenge, add me as a friend. Please and thank you. Good luck to you all.0

Found this thread again. Have been slacking on keeping up with the thread. This last week went well, did a lot of walking and always drinking water, but probably not 10 glasses. Down a pound from last week, so at least the scale is moving in the right direction. My goal this week is to exercise at least 5 out of 7 days, and watch my calorie intake. I have noticed I may not be eating enough calories cause my weight just stayed in one place and I think I may have set my body into starvation mode. I found that if I do go a bit over about 100 calories, I seem to do better and actually lose the weight. I have to say I am feeling good about things, I have lost 20 pounds overall since before starting here, and went out Saturday for a bit. I ran into several people that I have not seen in a while, and got told that I am looking really good. Wow, that was a nice feeling, and glad to know it is becoming noticeable.0

Monday morning... first weigh in. I started at 80.6kg (178lbs) last week and weighed in at 79.4kg (175lbs) this morning - I am very happy with that! I feel a lot less bloated and much healthier in general. I've tried to mainly focus on portion control this week to shrink my stomach and it seems to have worked - I had a mini quiche yesterday afternoon and was so full, this would never have filled me up before! I've also managed to stay away from alcohol even though I went out with friends, and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be! My challenge for this week will be to add strength training to my workouts as I've only been doing cardio so far.0
