Did you get the internet's advice first?
  • God hates divorce ... but hates sex less, miserable marriages more.

Shockingly, no. Apparently, I'm doing it wrong.

It was because of her chemical breath...wasn't it
  • things god also doesn't like:
    round haircuts Leviticus 19:27
    fortune tellers Leviticus 19:31, 20:6
    pulling out Genesis 38:9-10
    tattoos Leviticus 19:28
    polyester/cotton blends Leviticus 19:19
    wearing gold Timothy 2:9
    shellfish Leviticus 11:10
    bacon Leviticus 11:8
so... yeah, i don't really pay too much attention

That's only because He got fleeced during his divorce settlement.

    He sounds cool with it:

If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, 2 and if after she leaves his house she becomes the wife of another man, 3 and her second husband dislikes her and writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, or if he dies, 4 then her first husband, who divorced her, is not allowed to marry her again after she has been defiled. That would be detestable in the eyes of the Lord. Do not bring sin upon the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.
    Deuteronomy 24:1-4

What I get there is that god's fine with divorce - as long as you don't take the ***** back ...

cant really fear and love god at the same time

1 John 4:18 - There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

    Sorta OT...

My hubby and I decided whoever left had to take the kids... and that's kept us together for 25 years.

Problem is, both kids, over the age of 21, still live at home. So does this 'rule' still apply?

yeah, when they were deciding which books were and were not the Truth they picked a lot ofnewer stuff that contradicts the older stuff.

True but considering leviticus contains both the do not eat pork and do not have rounded hair that people ignore but they keep the do not lie with another man which is ALSO from leviticus, it gets a bit rediculous, choose - keep it all or keep none
