    3-4 large chicken breasts
    2 jars of salsa
    1 packet taco seasoning
    1 cup water
    1 can black beans

My crockpot gets very hot so I did on high for 3 hours then pulled the chicken and ate it plain, on rice, and in taco shells.

You could do low for 6-8 hours.

I often do "taco chicken" - just chicken thighs and/or breasts, a can of tomatos, a can of chiles, some chili powder or other spices and whatever veggies and or beans sound good. Let it cook on low for 8+ hours, shred with two forks and eat in tacos, with rice, with veggies or by itself!

THIS. I did this sunday and I am STILL eating it. It's sooooooooooooo stinking good!!

Chicken, can of corn or frozen corn, Jar of salsa, can of beans. Then I use it throughout the week with:
    - tortilla as the filling.
    - with cheese and tortilla chips as a dip.
    - with a sauce for rice.

I have also thrown chicken in there with barbecue sauce and served it with rice or as a filling with a healthier version of a pulled pork sandwich.

If you want to get fancy 2 cans cream of mushroom (or celery) 1.25 cups water a pot roast, onion soup mix... mix together at your choice of pot roast meat no more than 5 lbs and coat it with the mixture cook on low for 8-9 hrs and youll have your pot roast best part is it makes it own gravy.

a chili is good to make: beans, diced tomatoes, beef or turkey, veg broth, spices, tomato paste.

also google 365 days of slowcooking there is an awesome blog with all sorts of recipes.

you can also throw a whole chicken in a cook in in the slow cooker and add veggies in with it or just prepare veggies on the side

WOW great recipes posted here. Bumping so I can come back and refer to some I saw here I have yet to make.
  • 2 chicken breasts and a small jar of your favorite salsa or can of rotel with Mexican spices. Cook on high for 6-8 hours, shred chicken and use for tacos or burritos or taco salad.

Easiest thing I do in the crock pot is .. 3 chicken breasts. 1 Jar Hot Salsa.

Cook low +/-8 hours or high +/-6 hours

Shred the chicken, and mix with the cooking liquid.

This is great for tacos, nachos, burritos ..

I recommend HOT salsa, as most of the spice cooks out. Medium Salsa will leave this rather flavorless ...

I do thus but also add 1 T of Dijon and 2T of brown sugar. This changes and amps up the flavor considerably.

I put a pork shoulder in the crock pot recently. I rubbed it with garam masala (available at indian markets) and covered it in light coconut milk that was mixed with red curry paste, bell peppers, and an onion. It was amazing=)

    What I made this weekend:
Buffalo Chicken: 3 ww frozen chicken breasts, 1 dry ranch packet, 1 12oz bottle of Franks Red Hot.....YOWZA is it hot....but very good over a few tortilla chips or on a salad.

Southwest chicken: 2 ww frozen chicken breasts, 1 cup frozen corn, 1 cup salsa, 1 can black beans, 1 packet of reg taco seasoning. This was soooo good!

I usually started these around 11am and cooked on high for 3 hours, then switched it to low until dinner time. :)

    Enjoy!

A super easy and delicious recipe I've used to cook turkey, which doesn't even need broth:

    Two turkey legs
    Salt and pepper

Season turkey legs with salt and pepper and any favorite seasonings (leave skin on)
Place in crock pot and set to low heat

Cook until the meat falls off the bone.

    1 Roaster chicken
a few sprigs of rosemary (or if dried rosemary 2tsp)
    Onion (quartered)
    lemon or orange (quartered)
    olive oil

Put celery on bottom of crockpot, rub olive oil on bird and under skin, sprinkle some salt n pepper put half of the onion and fruit in bird's cavity and the reset on the bottom of your crock. Place the bird breast side down in the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours... With the breast side down the bird doesn't dry out!

I'm making chicken curry tonight and it's SO GOOD.

2-3 pounds chicken breast or thighs
    1 diced onion
16 oz salsa or picante sauce
    2 tbs curry
Cook on low 8 hours, add 1 cup sour cream 30 minutes before it's done.
