Alanis Morrisette's Jagged Little Pill got me through my divorce! I still remember the anger I felt when I hear one of the songs on that album!

The list is SOOOOO long. I love how a song or smell or taste can take you back to a memory in an instant.

Few of my list toppers that kill me every time:
Butterfly kisses (the first time my husband heard it he said through 'snot and tears' "DON'T YOU EVER, EVER PLAY THAT SONG AGAIN!! EVER!" )
    Last Kiss -Pearl Jam.
Don't take the girl- Tim McG
    Don't Blink - Kenny Chesney

Nowhere to go nowhere to be & The Life- Kenny Chesney take me to my happy place.

Many of the songs listed are also favorites. Seems like country songs tell more of a story- maybe that's why they are list toppers here.
  • Emerson Drive, "Moments"

    Dave Matthews Band, "Angel"

    Bob Carlisle, "Butterfly Kisses"

Keith Urban, "Making Memories of Us"

Josh Groban, "To Where You Are"

Toby Keith ~ Cryin' for me

This song came on the radio when I was on my way home from my Mom's house the night she passed away..... it was so fitting.... I cried for days..... It's been just over 7 months and when I hear this song I just fall apart.

The Old Rugged Cross has always moved me to tears because it is / was my Moms favorite song ....

    Stone Sour- Zzyxx Rd.

    Love this song.

    A few for me are:
Live This Life Big & Rich
Holy Water Big & Rich (not for the reason the song was written though, for one of my own)
    Godspeed Dixie Chicks.

Hmmm...trying to think of some that aren't country! LOL!

    I knew I'd remember some non-country ones!

Snow Patrol Set Fire to The Third Bar
Rightous Brothers You've Lost That Loving Feeling (a happy memory though)
Phil Collins In Too Deep (another happy one0
Kansas Dust In The Wind (I find it strangly soothing and calming no matter my mood)

Creepshow In The Garden (for my funkier moods!) that and Wishing Well by Airborn Toxic Event.

Hey Jude by the Beatles is my one son's previous favorite song (when he was about 3). My youngest LOVES Hey Delila by Plain White Tees (he says that's his song). My Step daughter is a Kansas fan, but also Spiderwebs by No Doubt. LOL! They all love Snow by Red Hot Chili Peppers, so that is a fave in my car anytime I need a smile.
  • Rose of Sharon - Killswitch Engage, makes me cry every time.

    &

Singing in the Rain.... creeps me out still

    You Can Let Go-Crystal Shawanda
  • Where is my mind - by the Pixies
That's goosebumps guaranteed for me when I start hearing Kim Deal's vocals!
  • Blaine Larson- How do you get that lonely
The Band Perry- If I die young

...my 18 year old recently comitted suicide and these songs make me cry everytime i hear them.

    Ludacris- Runaway Love
City High- What Would You Do

those songs just get me to me everytime.
  • Music is always going to bring back emotions no matter good or bad. I could come up with a huge list of songs that make me cry. Most of which were mentioned previously. To lighten the mood though I will just go with the weirdest song i've ever cried to....wait for it....

Yup I cried to "Salt Shaker" by Ying Yang Twins. If that doesn't say crazy I don't know what does! Haha to be fair though, my husband was in the desert and oddly that was one of the songs that made me think of him (neither of us are really into that kind of music though). HAHA! :)

I cry listening to the radio all the time :) I really am crazy. Recently, I have cried to This Ain't Nothin' by Craig Morgan. I also cry to She's Gonna Fly by Collin Raye. It reminds me of my Grandmother. I also cry to a lot of songs that have already been mentioned.
