I can only eat chips that are broken and in little pieces. I eat the crumbs and leave the full pieces for my family.
I like my cornflakes left in milk for a while to get mushy.
I don't see the point in eating ice cream or frozen yogurt unless it's half melted.
I prefer eating with plastic rather than silver or regular utensils.
What about you?

WhenI still ate potato chips and ice cream, I preferred the chips that were folded in half. I also agree on the half-melted ice cream. Way better :P Now that I'm Paleo, I don't think I have too many weird food things going on. I've gotten boring haha.0

I have a bit of a thing about eating out of bowls. Given the option I'd rather use a bowl than a plate. I also can't eat desserts that have been stirred (my brother cottoned onto this fact early on as kids )
*I forgot Mayonnaise. I fricking love it on pretty much anything. I have been known to produce sachets from my handbag when eating out.0 -
I prefer to eat alone, I hate eating with anyone, even my kids.
I like to eat fast, like really fast, it's pretty gross, hence the eating alone.
I like potato chips dipped in sour cream mixed with siracha
I like almost anything dipped in sour cream
I do not like vegetables
I prefer to eat out of bowls
I like to eat with spoons more than anything else
Eating in restaurants make me nervous and fancy silverware make me freeze
I would rather eat the entire appetizer menu than any of the entrees
I don't ever ever eat pork, just because they are so genetically close to humans, and omnivores, it freaks me out
I have so many weird food things it's amazing I am functional in public at all0 -
I don't eat any food that is supposed to be hot when it's cold. Like cold pizza.......gross.0
-
I crush captain crunch into a powder....I have no idea why I love it so much. I guess it's from getting that little bit at the bottom of the bag that is always crushed...it's just amazing.0

Not a bad idea....It probably doesn't tear the roof of your mouth up when you eat it like that.0 -
captain crunch anyway is good0

Steamed broccoli + mustard0

When eating things like chips or lollies, anything that can be eaten in individual bits, I always have to have even numbers of them, preferably in fours. It's the same with sipping liquids. If faced with a single large chip I will try to take four small bites out of it to even it up.0

I don't like my food to touch. Like, the corn can't touch the mashed potatoes, the eggs can't touch the bacon, etc.0

Seems like OCD is more common than we all realize. Or perhaps us OCD types are drawn to meticulous calorie counting. Hmmm0
-
chicken liver... LOVE THAT0
-
- i actually like eating the same things over and over day in and day out and i have to fight the urge to not eat if i have to make a change in my plan.
- there's probably like 1 week out of the year i like peanut butter and can it. the rest of the time it literally makes me gag.
- i cant have too much brown food on my plate (that's the weirdest one that got landed me in many standoffs as a kid about whether or not i would eat)
- hot food has to be hot, i cant do warm or cold (unless it's pizza)Seems like OCD is more common than we all realize. Or perhaps us OCD types are drawn to meticulous calorie counting.0 -
I pound my digestive biscuits into power form and ate with a spoon.
Seems like OP and I share the first 3 habits. :laugh:0 -
~ I love cold food... Like Pizza, Stromboli, Turkey... Fried chicken... All tastes better cold.
~ I have to have chopsticks to eat sweet and sour chicken, because dipping it in the sauce with a fork just doesn't work as well.
~ I add less water to my Ramen noodles soup, so it doesn't have any extra water just the noodles covered in the flavor.
~ I will tell people(most of the time my husband) I don't like this or I don't want that... but if someone else cooks it I will eat it, and not complain. Even if it is squash (yuck), or pizza for the third time that week... The exception is liver and sweet potato's.
~ I like to use mashed potato's as a dip... for chicken nuggets/strips.
~ I can't eat food that still has eyes... Like those stupid little crawdad things at the Chinese buffet that my brother loves... It freaks me out.
~ I won't drink pop that has gone flat. It has to still be fizzy.0 -
I don't like my food to touch, unless it's meant to be touching.
If there is a way to eat something with utensils, I want to use utensils.
When I eat soup I like to eat all the broth out first and sometimes will only eat the broth.
I won't eat french fries that are too crunchy.0 -
i love how weird we all are i feel like im not as interesting because i have very few weird food habits
i take a swig of my drink (usually water) after pretty much every bite of food. so over the course of a meal- i can drink A LOT of water. with 2 packets of oatmeal, i drink about 4 cups of water. i guess i like to cleanse my pallet, and i like that it helps me get fuller.
i rarely eat cereal anymore, but if i eat lucky charms, i eat the oats first, then the charms... in color order from the color i like the least to the most (this part isnt necessary- im not OCD ). those marshmallows marinating in the milk make the milk taste sooooooooooo good.0 -
If I'm alone, I'll eat my salad with my bare hands, dipping each component into dressing individually.0
-
I HATE runny egg yolk and will gag and throw away eggs that have them. And I eat like 5 eggs a day.
I have to eat my food "together", and hate when the people I eat with eat all of one thing before moving on... its seems rude and inconsiderate? I dont know why I feel this way.
The smallest container I will eat my salads from is a pie plate, and if someone thinks thats too big, I want to throw my salad at them.0 -

I you lol0 -
My husband would say my weirdest food eating habit is weighing and measuring all my food.0

I you lol
Just keepin' it real yo! lol0 -
I'm glad I'm not alone.
I can only eat bacon using my fingers, can't use a knife and fork to cut it up cause it tastes different to me and it has to be crispy to the point of burnt and then I spend ages breaking off the crispy fat to throw away.
Can't eat fish if the head and tail are still on.
Will only eat cheese if it's grated.
Don't like fruit, it makes me heave.
Can't eat the stalks of veg so broccoli and cauliflower, I will cut the stalks off and cut lettuce the same so we just have the leafy part.
I have to peel the outer layer off mushrooms before cooking them, I don't feel comfortable with just rinsing them off under the tap.
I have to wash all meat before cooking too.....not sure why just a habit I guess0 -
Since I've started eating "better" the past 6 or so weeks, I don't really have many weird eating habits, other than I can literally eat the same thing everyday. I think I ate baked chicken breasts with roasted bell peppers for 2 straight weeks. That's a carry over. Before I started trying to lose weight, I would literally go the same lunch place, multiple times a week and order the exact same thing and never get tired of it.
Before I started trying to lose weight, I had a few. A couple I can think of is that I almost never re-heat leftovers. One of my favorite things to eat cold is lasagna. I don't know why, but I love cold lasagna. Also, I used to eat peanut butter and bologna sandwiches. It had to be a really thick slice, like 1/2 inch and smother it with peanut butter. Some old dude was eating one, one day and I told him that looked disgusting, he asked if I'd ever tried it, I said nope, tried it, loved it! To this day, I've never met anyone else that enjoys that combo.0 -
I must eat sandwiches open face. Then I eat the second slice of bread.0
-
I've eaten the same thing for breakfast for at least the past 8 years, probably longer.
Wild Woodland Blueberries - 60g - 34cal
Kashi Go Lean Crunch - 40g - 150cal
Organic Yogurt - 175g - 120cal
I've recently added the following to the above:
All-bran Buds - 28g - 70cal
I guess I am a creature of habit.0 -
When I'm eating breakfast alone I eat my crispy fried egg white with my fingers. I eat everything else with fork and knife. I just love the feel of eggs.0
-
I don't like tomatoes skin, if cooked, so I put them away (especially in soups or sauces). While uncooked, though, I can eat fresh whole tomatoes. If the skin isn't smooth and it starts ripping off I don't like it anymore...
I always cut my onions with gloves on because I once cut it and didn't get rid of the smell for 2+ days.
I surely do have more but I can't recall them now...0 -
I like my sandwiches warm. I really don't like them straight out the fridge, they have to have been given time to "warm up".
I like lasagna the best when it's had time to sit in the fridge for a day and isn't as "liquidy".
I love ice cream the best when eaten in that just started turning to soup stage where it's easy to get in a spoon and eat the whole carton up at one time.
Soup needs to have stuff in it, I can't stand brothy soups.0 -
Haha you guys are weeiiiirrrd
- I always pick the whole peanuts out of the bowl first, or if I just grab a handful, I eat the whole ones first. Who needs half peanuts!?
- With crisps it's the other way round, I eat the crushed ones first and leave the whole ones to get the perfect bag/bowl of uncrushed crisps.
- I "balance-eat" my foods on a plate so I always have the same amount of everything on there until the end.
- Has no one mentioned M&Ms yet? Yellow ones first, then red, then green, blue, and eff the brown ones.0
