Is 10lbs off noticeable on your body?

Here's a cool site that allows woman to compare their body types:

Check it out and you may get an idea of what 10 pds off looks like.0 -
10 lbs IS noticeable. Especially for the people that see you on a day to day basis.0

If your weight is already in a healthy range then a 10lb loss will definately show, you'll look great if you workout and development some definition too!0
-
if you have a lot to lose, the first 10, no. the last 10, yes.0

I'm down 10lbs from 5 weeks ago (5'0" tall, started at 136, now 126) and I still don't see the difference yet. My exercise is always in classes with decent amounts of cardio, and then using weights (ranging from light to heavy). Could be I also have a super critical eye, though. I know my legs, while they don't look different to me, definitely feel much stronger.
Actually I notice one thing - my traps (muscles near shoulders/neck, right) appeared. Didn't have those be so noticeable before. Still wish I saw my belly shrinking though, lol.0 -
Toning will show the biggest improvement not weightloss.
^^ this ^^
Make sure you eat enough to fuel your body for the increased workouts.0 -
LOL, I measured my weight loss in bags of birdseed, I lost 2 20 lb bags of birdseed, when I pick them up now and pack them I can really feel the difference!!!0

At 5'0", I have now doubt that the ten lbs (at the relatively low weight) has made a visual difference. Comparing measurements and pictures (before and current) are the best ways to see the difference in yourself. Be proud of your accomplishment! :flowerforyou:0 -
It really depends on your own body. I've only lost a few pounds, but all of my body fat is around my waist, so I can tell by how my clothes fit. I'm cinching in my belts and now I have to take a couple of pieces to the tailor for alterations because they are just baggy on me. After only 6 lbs!0

I lost 16 and can't tell at all  lol
Me either0 -
Yes.
Two inches off my waist and down one size in shirts and pants.0 -
I went on a 1200 calorie a day diet and lost 10 lbs in just over a month. My clothes fit much better. I started going to the gym 3 days a week and left the diet thing alone and have lost 0 lbs, but definitely look much more fit. The inches started to drop. I went from a 33 in waist to a 30 in waist.0

I've lost 10 so far and I've noticed that my clothes fit differently. I've had a few people ask if I've lost weight, and I've lost 9 inches. I only REALLY noticed this morning after looking at pictures of myself that I took in June. My stomach is much smaller and my double chin is gone. I didn't even realize I had a double chin before!0

if your within the last 30 lbs then 10lbs lost is noticable. if you have a lot to lose then you might not notice it.0
-
I also have fit back into clothes that I gave up on last year. For me,10 pounds is at least one clothing size, a much leaner face, and a lot of the "extra" gone, especially in the abdomen. Everyone is different.0

Go to the grocery store and pick up two 5lb bags of sugar....hell, yeah, you'll notice it! I've lost 16lbs and have dropped from a 18W size to a regular 16. My face is thinner....my waist is 3inches smaller. I'm looking forward to the next 20 lbs!!!!0

10lbs will make a world of difference on my body. I'm short so the difference will be visible.0

I started at 222. Took until 190 until people started to really notice, between 30-40lbs I started to get a lot of positive comments about weight loss.
The last 10lbs, between 186 to 176, I have really started to notice more definition and I can't wait to lose the last 10-20 then properly tone.
The smaller you are the more weight loss will show, but it's all a step in the right direction.0 -
The smaller you are to begin with the more it will show. Think 10lbs off 150lbs is a greater % than 10lbs off 300lbs. Also, body composition will effect it, how much fat you lose vs other stuff such as muscle, water etc Some people on here have lost hardly anything but because they've kept their muscle through exercise/strength training they look completely different to someone who say went on a crash diet and no exercise. It varies for everyone because of factors like these.0

Yes losing those ten pounds really gave me a figure back0
-
Apparantly the LAST 10 lbs is the most noticeable because it is all anyone ever seems to focus on.
"I just can't lose this LAST 10 POUNDS!!":laugh:0 -
You can tone while maintaining your current weight, which would be a better goal for you than losing. Check out this group http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/3817-eat-more-to-weigh-less for some ideas.0
