    I pop my popcorn in a kettle with coconut oil....I do about 1/2 cup popcorn to 2 Tbsp coconut oil. It generally serves 4 at around 150 calories per. I salt it as far as toppings go. I'm not really sure what you mean by toppings though....

    Also, if it's a good movie I'm just eating that whole thing...or at least half.

  • Popcorn is awesome :) and by toppings I mean alternatives to butter. Spices, as some people have suggested.

    Nutritional yeast!
  • My work sells flavor infused sea salts, which I LOVE on top of popcorn. I'm actually going to buy some tonight I think, to help with my evening snacking.
    They have a chili-sea-salt, and a lavender infused salt which are my favourites.

    Since I eat a whole-foods plant-based diet, I avoid the added fats by air popping it. In order to get the salt and spices to adhere to the popcorn better, I grind it into a dust in a coffee grinder, and the smaller particles stick to the popcorn much better. I use a variety of spices, but one of my favorites is two parts salt, two parts nutritional yeast, one part garlic powder. I make the seasoning in bulk and keep a shaker-full around for whenever I have popcorn.

    Going oil/fat-free has the benefit of keeping popcorn a low calorie snack.

    Kernel Seasons has a large line of flavored popcorn seasonings.

    I threw a birthday party for my 7 year old and bought a lot of them for a variety of flavors for the popcorn I served. In my cupboard we currently have ranch, nacho cheddar, white cheddar, bacon cheddar, chocolate caramel, and cheesy jalapeno.

    ETA: I forgot to mention that they're all under 5 calories a serving.

    Depends what I am in the mood for...parm. cheese, Old Bay, coconut oil (I pop them with this), cumin, or just plain ole butter. I also like a little sugar/cinnamon/salt/butter combo from time to time. So flavorful and so good!

    Chorizo powder

    OMG FROM WHERE!?

    I like a dash of parmesian cheese and granulated garlic.
  • Chorizo powder
    Oh my god YES! (I'm assuming you mean a mix of chorizo spices, but that's what I get for assuming)

    Airpopper then add in my typical toppings (always added after some grassfed butter):
    * Taco seasoning mix or Chorizo spice mix
    * Parmesan & garlic (has to be grated parm, which I usually forget to buy...I prefer shaved)
    * Nutritional yeast & garlic
    * Hot chocolate mix (trust me...TRUUUUST ME)
    * Cinnamon
  • Chorizo powder

    This is a thing???? Where did you get it??
    IDK if what he's talking about is the same as what I do -- but I commonly put a mix of chorizo spices on mine :). It's TASTY.

    I pop kernels in a brown paper bag in the microwave, spray it with vinegar and sprinkle with salt or salt substitute. That's as low calorie as I can get it and it's pretty good :)

    Render fat from chorizo, mix with 40% the weight of the rendered fat with tapioca maltodextrin to powder it

    I got my White Cheddar powder from Wal-Mart. They have a huge selection of different flavors. I pop in a paper bag, spritz with spray oil and shake on the powder. Brand is Kernel Season's.

    1/4 tsp=2 cals
    sodium=75mg
    protein=0
    carb=0
    fat=0

    Hope that helps someone!
