I got a 16-oz. jar of coconut oil.
It was greatly appreciated, because I had run out last week.
Now I can make my 100% cocoa 'fat bombs'. Yum!

Last year my dad and his current wife (#6) gave hubby and I all gifts they had "won" at the casino :grumble: and we promptly sold it all on craigslist. He DID give us gift cards to Menards and kohls last year, so it wasn't too bad. this year, well, they did it AGAIN!!!! Got a cheap hose reel, a chip and dip serving thing, rice cooker, 3 slot lasagna pan ( that fits the noodles perfectly according to the box) plus much more.......... It's almost comical this year, as soon as we got in the car we discussed what needs to go on Craigslist.

Oh wow...that sounds so much like my former in-laws! They always bought my ex and I very random gifts, either from HSN, Cracker Barrel, or Walmart. It was a tradition on Dec. 26 to go and return whatever wasn't purchased from TV to get decent stuff.

Haha! So you got the GOOD gifts too?! Sucks we can't even return them, we just take the money from selling it all and buy something we really want or need. That is......IF we can sell the items!

I wouldn't call it odd, necessarily, but my hubby's WENCH step sister gave us baked goodies....3 kinds of cookies...they all have coconut in them....

    I AM ALLERGIC TO COCONUT!!!!

And since I have been with my hubby for 14 years now, she KNOWS this.

All I have to say is KARMA.......

Holly cow! I thought my dad and I were the only people allergic to coconut! I'm not alone afterall! lol Don't feel bad, my mother in-law who knows I'm allergic (been with her son 11 years now) bought me a German chocolate birthday cake earlier this year. Then got angry when I refused to eat it.

My mom. *sigh* God that woman takes last minute shopping to a whole new level. Clearly she attempted to buy us all gifts on Christmas Eve at 11:59 P.M. before realizing all the stores were closed. Then she must have headed over to either a grocery store or a liquor store, because my gift was a huge bottle of Velvet Cake Vodka and a gift card to some random restaurant I've never heard of 45 minutes away. It was depressing to witness her trying and act enthusiastic about giving it to us. And what the FCK is velvet cake Vodka?!

mix that with some diet tonic, yum!
