I have spent the last month eating like the world was gonna end and this is the perfect way to get back into my fitness regimen - back in the summer I managed to work my way up to 12-15,000 steps every day but have been struggling to hit more than 5000 each day.
I start back at work on the 3rd so it will be good to get back into a proper routine again - fitbit ultra at the ready!0 -
I think dancingj2 has posted a great challenge. The 10,000 steps a day aim is one that is achievable and can be incorporated into most people's day. It was one of my first aims when I started on my healthier journey.
Thanks to combining my computer with my treadmill the 10,000 steps a day is easily exceeded. I am walking as I type this.
I do several thousand steps outside too. I walk differently on the treadmill than on the various surfaces I encounter outside and I think both ways of walking are beneficial.
The hardest part is often the first step. Once you start it is easier to carry on.
