Why should I be ashamed of my skin colour?
(Not so) subtly racist thread, is racist.0 -

Don't remind me xD The hilarity of it all is that, technically, I'm of African descent!!0

Hmmm...sorry, I don't feel obligated to adhere to your standard of "beauty."
Me, either. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Go find yourself a man or woman who has a tan and don't worry about the rest if us. Pale and proud over here!!0 -
This is what it's like going to the beach with me.
I lol'd really hard. After I did a double take to find the Irish girl. Lol.
Only my arms and face tan. My legs and torso stay the same color all year. :frown:0 -
Just sayin'! My eyes. What has been seen cannot be unseen. And cover those pasty legs. And face!

This Scottish redhead couldn't BUY a tan GTFOver it.
ETA: I will be laughing at the tan people when I am old and still have perfect skin.
Here, here! The Irish ginger agrees!0 -
I have ice blue eyes so I can pull off being pale, hahahaha, later brown eyed losers.

LOL. Here in Thailand there is a HUGE market in WHITENING CREAMS as pale white skin is deemed beautiful and tanned dark skin ugly. I assume based on the fact that historically the rich lived and worked indoors out of the sun and the poor worked outdoors in the sun all day in the rice fields, etc). The contrast between foreign tourists sunbathing (many whilst already bright lobster red) in their itsy bitsy teeny weeny bikinis and swim shorts trying to get tanned and the Thai locals on holiday sitting under umbrellas with faces plastered in a thick white layer of talcum powder and paddling and swimming in the sea drenched in sun block and dressed in long sleeved shirts and long shorts trying to stay as pale as possible is a very stark demonstration of one of the cultural differences. I will stay HANDSOMELY PALE, thanks!

We're supposed to get 10 inches of snow, so send me somewhere tropical for the tan. Please and thank you0

I'm naturally tan :smokin:0

Sorry, but this lady of Irish/French Canadian descent has two skin tones -- pale or lobster. Don't like it? Plenty of fake tan Oompa Loompas out there to ogle.
Besides, I happen to *like* being mistaken for ten years younger than I am, and that my face doesn't look like an old catchers' mitt.
Also, melanoma.0 -
I know, I know! I just don't have the time.

I was blessed with dark pigmentation so even if I'm in the sun, I use 10 SPF for the day and I only get darker. Without any sunscreen at all, I get burned if I'm in direct sunlight for 3+ hrs.
Drawback with this is I don't absorb Vit D very well so I have to take a supplement year round even though I eat plenty of diary products.0 -
I need a tan But all it does is rain, sad times...0
-
...but I'm not one of them. You can see my veins right through my skin, and if you don't like that, don't look at me. I'm not here as an ornament for you. Plenty of ways to be awesome. :drinker:0

I find being as pale as a ghost very attractive
so no thanks op I will keep my pasty ghostly skin0 -
so the peeps who found this thread races, was it races to the pasties or the pigmenteds?0
