    Just start posting. This thread is not so much a challenge as it is a place to stay motivated. You may post distance or time or anything else that will keep you motivated to move.

    I have been babying a sore foot so no walking right now, but I will get back at it soon.

    January 2 - Leslie Sasone 2 miles
    January 4 - Walking 2 miles

    Thanks - partly because I'm a teacher and so was able to get some miles in before I went back to school. But I have walked before school every day since we got back (my pupils think I'm crazy, doing my walk whilst they're still asleep), and I'm currently at 38.6 miles for January.

    Last year, with a couple of injuries that took me out of action, I scraped 500 miles of what I would call 'fitness walking'. I'm on a mission to blow that target into the water in 2014 ... :D x

    Jakidoodles - I pretty much started with a mile or two per day last year. 500 miles is actually less than 1.5 miles daily - how about that?! x

    I would like to join the group for the January Walking Challenge. I am using a pedometer and my initial goal is 10,000 steps.
    Day One: I'm happy that I met my challenge - Hoping to continue to do this each day one step at at time! I'll keep yu posted.
