I don't see why anyone would think it would be placed high, it's not a very sound premise for a diet0

do.. do I bump this?0

Does someone here have steak?0

Does someone here have steak?
I'm eating a couple pounds of steak today...0 -
I tried the 5:2 diet briefly. It's where you eat only 500 calories for 2 days and then eat normally for 5. I didn't do well0
-
this makes me happy0

I love that the Acid Alkaline diet is called "ridiculous and poorly researched"0

C'mere all you sad paleo folks. Come on, come here, it's okay.

I was a little surprised the Paleo diet was ranked dead last. Despite being based on bad science and overly restrictive, it actually does seem to be a healthy way to eat. Healthier than some of the higher ranked ones at least...0

Seriously, Slimfast beat out a lot of whole-foods diets? This list is just f***ed up in so many ways...0

Why go on a diet? Where did the good old "portion control " go?0

Does someone here have steak?
need some meat?0 -
It seems like it was marked low because the judging criteria included difficulty to maintain, which I can understand. But all the diets are evaluated apparently based on conventional wisdom (low-fat, whole grains, etc) that Paleo purports to defy anyway. So it makes sense that a diet that goes against conventional wisdom gets low marks when judged from a standpoint of conventional wisdom.0

No marketing in that..0 -
Really I think these experts are full of it. Just a quick look at the MFP forum will prove that eating a 1200 calorie paleo diet with a supplement shake is the ONLY way to go.0

I love that the Acid Alkaline diet is called "ridiculous and poorly researched"
Since the acid/base balance in the body is very delicate and small changes in the range can cause large problems, it does sound a bit ridiculous to have a diet that is supposed to affect it. It's regulated by the kidneys and the lungs and has no effect on metabolism, so using diet to affect it is a bit ridiculous as well.0 -
Does anyone actually put a lot of stock into what these "lists" say is healthy...?0
-
i'd personally try going vegan, but i can't seem to get a straight answer on just how many days per week i'd be allowed to eat meat. if it's too few, then it wouldn't be practical for me... but if meat is allowed 3 days a week, i think i could be a vegan.0

Portion control is something you do your hole life, it's not a diet.0 -
That just looks uncomfortable.0 -

I believe they claim it cures a wide range of health issues. People used to suggest it regularly as a "cure" for my lupus. :noway:0
