How many lbs do you want to lose?

  • Hello, just joined tonight, day after christmas. I'd like to lose at least 110-120 pounds. I have a long way to go, but i'm pretty damn sick of this weight and would like to lose it.

    I am 5' even and weigh around 140. Ideally I'd like to lose 25 lbs bringing my weight back to the 115-ish it was when I was in the best shape of my life.
  • I am 5'9" about 260lbs... I want to lose about 105lbs... I would like to be about 155lbs. Is this doable? I have no idea... but I know I need to try... that is a lot of weight to lose...:cry:

  • I'm 5'7" and weigh between 142 and 144 (it flucuates). I fell out of my 5 lb range of 135-140 around October, which I'm not too happy about. My goal is 130 but would be ok with 135.

    (Although I'm still exercising and watching what I eat, I'll get REALLY serious again Jan. 2nd :laugh: )

    I'm right with you. I want to be about 155. Right now I am around 235 so I too have a ways to go. But it can be done. I know. I lost 40lbs a few years ago w/ Weight Watchers and I felt great. I have since gained it all back plus more. So I know it's possible. You just have to get your mind set and it can be done. We can do this together.

  • When I joined this site I was 167lbs. Current weight 154.............I would like to lose another 24lbs.....To reach my ultimate goal of 130..............
  • I've been dieting for 4 months now and am down to 135lbs from 152lbs. I'd like to get 10 more pounds off and build a little more muscle. These last few pounds have been so hard to lose!

    I am 5'8". I started in November at 182.5. Currently 172.2.
    My 6 month goal is 150 and my 1 year goal is 140. So 30-40 lost.
    It has taken me almost 10 years to put on the extra 40 so I don't expect it to come off quickly.
    If nothing else, my eating habits have improved so much in one month that I already feel better about life in general.
  • Hi everyone! I just joined today but wanted to "weigh" in on the discussion. (*groan*)

    I'm 5'7 and currently weight 265. I have lost 30 pounds since February of last year, so I know this is doable, I just need to up the dedication and consistancy of my journey.

    My brother's wedding is in August and I would like to be down at least another 50 by then - more if I can do it in a healthy manner.

    Eventually I'd like to be down to 150. That's not written in stone, but it is a goal to work toward.

    I am at 135/136 at 5'0. I tested at 19.5% body fat in August and would like to reach 15%...so ideally I would have to lose about 6lbs of pure fat. That doesn't sound like much but keeping all my muscle is nearly impossible, so I will actually have to lose a couple more lbs than that to drop enough fat to reach 15%.

    started at 270 an 12-26-07 263.4 on 1-2-08 want to be 155. i am 5'7" . im thinking 155 might be a bit to thin i dont want to look ill i wat to look healthy. i will re evaluate when the ime comes and it will come this time:happy:

    Hi I'm new! I haven't introduced myself yet.. I'm Julie! 26 years old. I put down that I want to lose about 140 pounds.. Honestly I would like to lose a lot more then that but thats just what I put for now. I had a daughter in Dec 2003 and just kept gaining and I've hit 320pounds I think. I don't know my exact weight at the moment because I don't have a scale but thats what I was at my last Doctors appointment in late October! I just hope I can do it.. I have severe asthma and had a heart problem after having my daughter!

  • I started at 174 in March. Diet and excerise and eating less chocolate (for real) helped brng me down to 142.5. (weighed today). I want to lose 7 pounds to be about 135. This is my ideal and goal weight.

    We are all doing it for different reasons, but the fact is we should all help each other get there!

  • im 5'1 and i weigh 313, so i become the heavyweight queen here, im 41, and im tired of being tired bout being fat, i purposely avoided mirrors and scales, but im now realizing its about accountablility. i would be happy just being at 200, but short term is 4 lbs a weekso that makes 297 by the end of the month. Wish me luck!! LOL

  • My ultimate goal is about 100 pounds. but I'm initially just shooting for a 25 lb goal. I know that much will make an incredible difference in how I feel and my health and hopefully reaching that goal will be motivation to keep going the rest of the way.

    I gained a lot after my gallbladder was removed! I had 2 children and got back to my normal size. I then had my gallbladder removed, and gained almost 30 pounds within months. Our Gallbladders regulate a lot of things and do more than we think. (Of course they don't tell you that kind of stuff until after the surgery)

    My baby was born 7 months ago and I have lost about ten pounds in the past five months. I NEED to loose at least 30 lbs by April 2008 for my wedding. My goal weight is 145 - so my overall goal would be to loose about 45 pounds. -- Back to where I was when I first met my future hubby!
