Most everyone is doing well and keep it going- awesome!
Those like myself who are stuck or going backwards my tip is to measure all your foods. I’ve been logging for 21 months. We get comfy with our food prep. At the end of my day I was surprised to see the calories added and my macros being off.

Just for fun: What major exercise goal do you have for 2014 and how will it impact your weight? I want to shoot for at least 5000 steps per day (hopefully more.) I will get up every class period for at least 10 minutes and walk. I will take a longer route to & from the cafeteria and other places on campus. I will not just chill out on the couch at night either.

Update 1/9/14: Been getting days over 5000 steps and days under. Doing better now that we are back at school. Been REALLY COLD here (like everywhere else in the country) so haven't got a lot of exercise and haven't felt the best the last couple of days. :sick: I know EXCUSES! EXCUSES! I have been doing a lot of extra work but just not moving a lot doing it. Last night while folding clothes I was walking around folding them and DH asked me what I was doing and I told him getting my steps in for the day. He laughed. :laugh:
Update 1/16/14: Walking has been going better. Tuesday had 7146 by bedtime. I've hit over 5000 everyday this week but Sunday. Scale not moving much but my NSV: measured this morning and I'm down in inches everywhere. So that really made me feel better. Also I can walk without tiring as easily and walk farther. Even talk and walk. LOL
misslou know exactly how you feel. On the 11th I was down to 189.8 but get ready to record and weights up. :ohwell:

Total weight lost: 2.5 pounds :-) Once I'm at 128.5, it will be the lowest weight I've been at in the last ten years!!! I'm so EXCITED!!!
Yay! Finally on my way! My body has been resisting, but I upped my protein and fat intake, so that I can eat a little less now due to being less hungry all the time... Also, I've stopped running due to a pulled hamstring... But I'm still walking around and stretching, and doing lots of cleaning (sigh, no escape from that one...). Overall, I'm happy!
cpanus - don't freak out!!! lol, it is going to be OK in the end. I freaked out so badly when I only "lost" half a pound at my last check-in (I probably just went to the bathroom, and the weight loss was fake, but hey, it made me happy to lose even that amount!). I had been trying soooo hard, exercising and everything, but for some reason my body just said nope, i'm happy at this weight! but now things are starting to move along, so keep your eye on the prize! Patience, patience, patience... (I know, its sooo hard to be patient about this!!!)
04hoopsgal73 - Agreed! I've been eating a little too much of everything in the last week, and I think that's what slowed me down... Then I started measuring out what 1/4 cup *really* looks like... Ooops! :-) We can do this!!!
DJ478 - Great job on the loss!! Keep it up, girl, you're so close to your goal!
misslou7 - Looking good! That happens to me a lot, I will eat like a saint for like three days, then weigh myself, see that I'm on track for the next weigh-in, then totally bomb the numbers on the morning of the weigh-in! I swear, I have no idea why that happens!!
shoing - Way to go trying to be more active! Sometimes I feel like I just want to crash on the couch for hours, but my conscience won't shut up about how I need to be fit and have good posture haha! :laugh: I've also noticed that since I became more active (walking more, expending more energy on cleaning, etc), I have more physical endurance. Tasks that made me feel worn out in the past aren't as hard anymore! Whaddaya know!!
I've ben looking around, and seeing some folks doing well, and other folks struggling! But no matter where you are, I see that we're all doing our best and supporting each other throughout the process! As long as MFP has its community to watch each other's backs, we can do it, together!!!

Just for fun: What major exercise goal do you have for 2014 and how will it impact your weight? I play basketball twice a week, would like to get that up to 4 times a week. Its hard with less friends playing nowadays, and also work/home life. My son just turned 1 last week, so needless to say we do not have a lot of free time. So my goal is either 4 times per week some sort of aerobic exercise (either basketball or running), and also weight lifting at home twice a week.0 -
