I started today with the shred and I am super excited! I didn't believe that I can do even the first training but I managed and I am feeling happy throughout the whole day I am combining it with a high protein/low carb diet I was doing from before so I hope I am going to have some nice results soon. Good luck to everybody:)0

Getting ready to do my day D4! I ended up doing both 30DS and 6 Weeks to 6 Pack yesterday. I had just found it on youtube and wanted to try it out. I'm soooo sooore today!0

For those who are doing it a few times a week, do you guys count 30 days of work outs or just 30 days in the month with your 3 or whatnot work outs a week? I'm thinking of maybe sticking with at least 5 days a week but will do probably one or two days off during the week. Just curious. Happy Monday all!
I am going to count each workout as 1 day. So basically I will do the workout 30 times, and my guess is it will take 5 to 6 weeks...I have a feeling my weekends will be my recovery time, but of course I can't really say how I'll feel 2 or 3 weeks from now. I did my first workout on Friday and it took 2 days to recover...I am beyond out of shape.0 -
I plan doing 30 days of the dvd also, should be day 9 for me but am going to have a day off as have a stinking cold.. I reckon instead of doing it lacklustre i'd be better to try get more energy & get a more intense work-out tomorrow........ the first two or three days were worst for me but it does get easier ! am nervous of level 2 tho !

I start yesterday ) Good luck to all0

Thanks for your replies, Chickenpie and Ebhemp about how you count your workouts and I totally agree!
I haven't gotten to level 2 this time around yet, but tried it once last time I attempted (and failed) 30DS and I thought it was pretty fun! I'm looking forward to a change in pace. Excited that today is going to be workout #5 for me today! I'll probably stick with weekends being my recovery days as well.
Since I get a little sick of hearing Jillian talk (haha, sorry if that's just me) I put Spotify on my phone and let it play out loud and I turn her volume down. I've got her routine down enough that I can pay attention and switch when they do. That's one way that I switch it up right now to keep me motivated.
Hope everyone is keeping up with their workouts and having a good week!!!0 -
hi all, i should be doing day 9 tonight... am not decided yet if i'll do it, my cold is worse & have swollen glands in my armpit so common sense says to rest but I actually miss it
hope everyone else if well ! xx0 -
Hi guys, can I join in too?
Just completed level 1, day 2 of 30DS. Much easier than day 1 I'm glad to report lol! Some weeks I'll be doing mornings, some evenings as I shift work, so hope that won't matter.
Really need to shift this extra stone of Christmas/winter padding I'm carrying round and tone up finally. Been dieting really carefully for 2 weeks now and not lost a single pound0 -
Yay, NatalieJ! It does get a little easier after you keep it up. I just tried switching from knee push-ups to full push-ups yesterday. I'm not sure what's better: to do full push-ups and less of them, or knee push-ups where I still have good form and can do more of them. Hmmm..
I'm trying to lose the 10lbs that I've gained in the last two or three months. Ugh. I checked the scale the other day and haven't lost anyyything-I think I had actually gained half a pound. I'm just trying to remind myself to not weigh myself (which is sooo haaard) and to remember that I'm going to be gaining muscle as well.0 -
It'll be your diet that gets you there, not 30DS or any other program. Drop some bodyfat% and you'll looke more toned.
If you're serious about balancing out with muscle, you need to be doing resistance training. If you're untrained, then for now things like pushups and pullups/chinups should help you with this goal. Not to gain any noticable muscle if you're dieting though, especially in the short term.
Read New Rules of Lifting for Women if you're serious about this and not just looking for something to make you "feel" like you're working out.0 -
i started a couple days ago .... have a very busy schedule so i m doing around 4 days a week have done 3 days so far .... i have knee injury so have a little problem doing some exercises ..... but doing good so far..... anybody has level 2 youtube link i have 1 and 3.0
-
Thanks for the tips both.
Yes, also following a change in diet as well as the 30DS to drop weight as well as tone up - or at least that's the aim!0 -
Glad to hear it gets easier. I'm exactly the same, I normally find it ok-going to lose a few pounds, but this time I am really struggling too. I'm eating much better using MFP and following 30DS as well as getting back into the gym and swimming, but I'm not losing a single pound. Not. Fair.0

I have a question - how repetitive is it? I probably could last 10 days (well, more like 16, I need my rest days) doing the same workout. But if the second level is pretty much the same, just intensified, I'll be bored. Variety is the spice of life, after all!0
-
I started it recently and did 5 days.I took a rest day in between. I find most of the steps easy , but pushup is my weak area.:sad:0
-
I am so jealous of you all.I started properly on monday 20/1/2014 and I have done 2 days of level 1.I forgot that I was having a minor surgery on wednesday,so now I'm post surgery I have to wait for my body to heal a bit before continuing. Good luck to you all.0
-
I hope you feel better soon from your surgery!
I am on day 3 of level 3 and WOW! Its pretty tough! That jump training is no joke! My thighs are so sore! :laugh:0 -
How is it going guys? I am going to do my 7th training from the level 1 (I did some pauses) and I was thinking do you guys do anything else for abs? I think that I need something more because the 30DS doesn't really focus on the abs so I am planning to incorporate some additional exercises in the routine. How about the people doing level 2? Are the abs getting more attention there0
-
hey hows everyone getting on?
I'm on day 5 of level 2 today.. it's a killer i have to say. Those plank-jacks and oblique twists.. urgh. I got myself a minor injury of a corneal abrasion this wk, or scratched eyeball, it hurt like a b*%ch for 24hrs but I battled through & Jillian took my mind off it !
There's def more ab work in Level 2
x0 -
Ooh I am sorry to hear that - I am glad you made it after all Great, I can't wait to start with level 2 :flowerforyou:0

Just to weigh in (haha), I am on Level 3 Day 6. I started watching my calories at the same time I started this video. At Day 17, I had lost 8.5 lbs., lost 2 inches off my waist, and 1.5 inches off my hips. I am 5'6", SW 166.8, GW 140 just for a little background. It definitely works and I can't wait to see what the final numbers are next week!! I took one day off each level due to my travel schedule for work more than anything else. My suggestion is to do it at the same time everyday so it becomes a part of your routine so when she's kicking your butt you have less of a reason to not do it because it is "scheduled" into your day. Good Luck everyone!!0
-
Sounds like everyone is doing good at sticking with it! I plan to start tomorrow. Wish me luck.0
-
I had totally fallen off the horse last week and didn't work out at alllllll. My shins were hurting from the end of the first week, so I took a little break...which turned into a way longer break. How frustrating. I'm gunna get back on track this week though! Doing day 7 level 1 today. I hope everyone is well!!!!0
-

Hi all, just found this post. I'm on Level 1 Day 8. I love the videos. I have the Insanity set but with my lower back issues, I just can't do it anymore. I like how for the first time in years, I can do jumping jacks with the trainer on the video. My only frustration is the scale is still going up a little each day since I started. I know I have to keep going. I am taking measurements but those barely moved as well. I'm starting out 5'1" 246lbs. I'm going to keep giving it 110% regardless and finally see one program all the way through.0
-
Just done level 1 day 1, wow that is hard going! Roll on day 2! :laugh:0
-
Also just done day 1 of 30DS. It was hard work but made it the whole way though non stop and my lungs are burning.
I was nervous about doing it as I'd been told not to go to the gym or do any exercise for the last 10 weeks due to my lower back. I had caudal epidural number 2 at the start of feb, a year after my last, I've been doing my core exercises over the last 5 weeks, had no back pain, officially allowed to start exercising again so decided to give it a go. No back pain at all doing the exercises in level 1 So it's time to tone, improve on my core strength, get some fitness back and lose those last few lbs.0 -
Nice one, well done. Wonder what we will be like on day 30!0
-
I'm starting this today! Bit scared bu will give it my best shot!0
