The restroomworkout

Hi, I was wondering if anyone also does 5 squats each time they use the restroom ^^

It sure is a blessing for your butt and legs :)

Stay fit

Yes if you drink 1,5 liters of water that's about right ^^

This is actually a good idea to stay on track and probably a good icebreaker for starting conversations in public ladies rooms. I have gotten into the mindset that squats are useless unless I do them with weights, but adding in a few extra bodyweight squats periodically throughout the day certainly won't hurt!

    - or jump up and crank out a few pullups on the loo door frames.

    - probably beest not to hit hte floor and start cranking out push-ups unless you scrub your hands after!

That's a myth that a lot of lifters believe. Try squatting on one leg, or try Pistol Squats? Now do you feel it?

I don't do bathroom squats - I jog in place while I'm washing & drying my hands (thanks to my Fitbit). I may start doing the squats instead though - just to mix it up a bit - thanks for the idea!

I don't do this every time but this has motivated me and given me a goal.

    Cheers!

Change your activity level simply :) That's what I did because I can't put on my Polar FT7 belt and watch just to check the few calories I burn ^^

Awesome idea! Not sure if I'll do this at work in my heels, but definitely at home!

Does it have to be in the Lady's loo? Also, can I make manly grunting noises like when I lift heavy stuff in the Gym and I want everyone to know that I'm lifting heavy stuff in the gym?!?

 I never did before but since reading your post this morning I've been twice and did it. Really not a bad idea! I work in an office and will do 10-15 push-ups off the desk a few times a day. Adding in some bathroom squats sounds like a great idea to me.

Just tried the one leg squat...much better! I try to do wall sits when I think of them as well. For some reason, I can do bodyweight squats like a beast, but wall sits are a killer for me.

The most accurate method would be to use a heart rate monitor.

No. Since I'm not in a coma, I get up from sitting in a chair so many times a day that this would be only a tiny fraction more activity. This seems about as useful as marching in place while sitting on the toilet.

Pfft. That's why they make those treadtoilets. And toiletbicycles. Get into the current century, dude.

You can drink more water if you want to up the intensity. I pee about every hour.

If I really make the effort I can go multiple times per hour. But it takes dedication.

Okay, but I have to warn you, I think I have a genetic advantage. I come from a long line of frequent pee-ers.
