Didn't go through all the recipes but here's a hint to cut some of the calories in pulled pork - I used to use pork butt roast for my pulled pork in the crock pot but switched to using pork tenderlion - this cuts a lot of the fat out of the equation

my favourite chicken recipe is to take a whole chicken, stuff it full of garlic cloves (will be a lot, the original recipe says 40), then cook on low all day. The chicken ends up with a mild garlic flavour and is delicious.

Love this one! My husband is picky and doesn't usually like new recipes I make, but he actually has requested I make this several times!!! It is great to put all the ingredients in a big ziplock and put in the freezer to have on hand whenever you need something. I have made it after being the freezer, and it tastes amazing (some things say you can do that, but don't actually taste good).
    Chicken Tortilla Soup
    Ingredients

1 lb chicken (boneless, skinless breasts)
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes with chilies
1 10 oz can enchilada sauce (make sure it’s gluten free if that’s an issue for you!)
    1 medium onion
1 4 oz can chopped green chilies
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1 tsp cumin
    1 tsp chili powder
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1 bay leaf
    2 cups frozen corn
1 TBS chopped Cilantro (for garnish)
    Corn Tortilla chips
    Directions:

Put all ingredients in a gallon zip lock bag (except the cilantro and tortillas) and freeze. Thaw, add 14 oz chicken broth or stock and 2 cups water and cook on low 6-8 hours or high 4-5 hours. Shred chicken after cooking, serve with cilantro and crushed tortilla chips.

To get even more protein, you could add any kind of bean that you would like.

    Enjoy!! :)

A frequent recipe I make in the crockpot is turkey black bean sweet potato chili.

    Ingredients:

    -package ground turkey
    -1 can black beans
    -1 can corn
    -1 large sweet potato
    -chopped up onion
    -celery
    -1 can pasta sauce
    -1 red or orange pepper
    -whatever seasonings you want

    Instructions:

Cook the ground beef and combine everything in the crockpot. I cook on high for approx 3 hours.

Bumping for later. I'm trying to learn how to make stuff on the crockpot. Are you supposed to cook the meat first or put it in raw? I'm always worried I'll mess up.

    Western Chicken

1 Package of Drumsticks or Thighs are good too
1 Bottle of Western Dressing (Light can be used)
    1 Cup Brown sugar

Spray Crock with Pam or user a Crock Pot Liner. Place frozen chicken drumsticks in the crock, pour entire bottle of western dressing over the chicken, and sprinkle brown sugar over chicken/western dressing. Cook on LOW 8-10 hours. Serve with Rice or Pasta--or eat it in with sandwich bread or tortilla's (My family enjoys this several ways!) .

Warning-chicken will be done and more than likely be falling off the bone.
