What motivates you to send a PM to a stranger on MFP?

Sometimes their profile picture screams that they're super serious about staying in shape, so I reach out to them because I want more friends like that.
In other cases, I see a post on one of these threads and they provide some really good information and again, I want more informative friends.0 -
I usually send them when someone has an outstanding physique.
And they're female
But mostly just to compliment them on great work accomplished.0 -

95% Its because I consider them a bad *kitten* in some way. I pride myself in pushing the envelope way pasts it limits and I appreciate others that do the same.

if i see them having trouble with the same phase i went through or plateau or similar situation. if they mention a great band (sponge, pearl jam or faith no more) or great TV shows (Angel)0
