Weight loss just wont stop or slow down

This is the start of my third week of attempting to maintain, but despite uppering calories every week, the scale continues to drop faster than ever. I decided to stop at 78kg, but now im 76kg.
I'm eating to my calorie limit, usually slightly over, eating back my excercise calories, today I upped them by an extra 200, I've already lost weight I wanted to keep, in fact now I can't now just wait to maintain, i'm need to increase my calories so I can regain my happy weight of 78kg back
I'm afraid my weight loss has to stop quickily, otherwise im worried Ill get very sick before the needle on the scales stops.

What are your stats? How much are you currently eating?0

my diary should be open to the public,0

Of COURSE you're not maintaining, you're only eating a little over what I'M eating to LOSE! And I'm a 5'0" girl!
Find your TDEE. Eat that. I guarantee it's more than 1,900-2000.0 -

Any idea how much you were eating before? Do you feel full?
I can't tell from your pic how big you are- but unless you're a small man, yes you might need to eat more. On the other hand, if you really can't stop losing weight, you need to see a doctor, get a checkup and make sure there is not some other problem.0 -
I'm w/the others.......... You need to eat more. I'm a (almost) 50 year old, 5'6", 140 lb woman and I average at least 2300 cals a day to maintain.0

reduce your workout frequency
keep eating at maintenance0 -

As everyone else has said, eat more.
How do you expect to maintain on so little? It beggars the question of what your calorie intake was when you were trying to lose weight... I dread to think.
I am female, 5'10 and 63kg and I lose on 1900-2500, including my exercise calories.0 -
I'm (5'11) 178cm tall, I know it was wrong (didn't know until I started to maintain), I'm recovering from only 1380 calorie diet, and many days I didn't eat all that, I'm starting to turn to junk food to try to keep up, stalls were way too common during my weight loss journey, now I trying to to do everything for a stall.
I've gotten myself into the "eat more to lose" catch have I?0 -
Yea, just like the others have stated, you aren't eating enough to maintain. Find your TDEE and start from there. You will have to experiment a bit to find the true number, but it will give you a better starting point. For reference, I'm a 36 year old male and am currently trying to find my maintenance number. At the moment it's looking like it's somewhere around 3200.0

If you are hitting your macros and micros, there is no such thing as junk food. That's one of the beauties of getting to maintenance and exercising. You can fit your "junk" food into your calorie counts much easier.0 -

Nothing wrong with some junk here and there, but you can get the calories from more nutritious sources if you so desire, that will not overfill you, such as nuts, seeds, avocado, full fat yoghurt, cheese, peanut butter etc.
1380 was insanely low for a male. Heck, it is pretty low for most women. I do hope you kept up some form of weight training or resistance while doing that, as I would expect (though I could be wrong) that you will have lost some lean mass eating at such a deficit.0 -
You mentioned that you're in your third week.
When I go back to Feb 8th and average your calories, you've been averaging barely over 1500 NET a day, with a goal of 1700. I have no idea where you picked the 1700 number either, because with your height and age, you'd have to be under 110 before that would be your sedentary maintenance, and I *hope* you aren't under that.
Why don't you just tell mfp "I want to maintain my weight" and eat all the way up to the goal +/- 100 for a few weeks, and see how you're doing after that?0 -
Yeah I'll forget increasing calories every week thingy, I just can't bare it if I lose some more, (i upped them staright to MFP's maintain level of about 2300) But wow didn't think it can reach up to 3200 for some people, that nearly what I was eating originally before the diet and thats what got me to so obese in the first place :O.0

True, But You were probably not working out as much right? So your metabolism must be much faster now!0 -
reduce your workout frequency
keep eating at maintenance
Why would you say this? Lol. Just increase calories. He's obviously eating in a deficit.
the only reason i said that is ...
I was assuming OP was having a hard time upping calories at the moment. and after i made that comment he said (9min later) ...
" I'm recovering from only 1380 calorie diet, and many days I didn't eat all that, I'm starting to turn to junk food to try to keep up"
if OP is comfortable at 1900ish stay there for now then up calories slowly when weight loss stops.
so , to stop losing weight fast...im assuming OP was working out 5-6x/week (OP still hasnt mentioned this) cut down his workout days to 2-3x/week. that will slow down the weight loss, then he can slowly up his calories to the supposedly 2300ish maintenance.
base on OP stats...with a goal weight of 170

i just ate 2400 calories today, which MFP recommends for maintain, I've forgotten how it feels like to be so full, my stomach feels like it's about to explode.
Since I have little access to the kitchen, I won't be able to keep this much up everyday, so decided from tommorow i've eat nuts tto fill up my calories (If there is any at the end of the day).0 -

Looking at your diary - instead of "light" cheese, eat the regular kind. On your ham sandwich - spread some butter or mayonnaise on your bread. Remember you can also drink your calories, and some people find that easier - milk, smoothies, protein shakes etc. It looks like you're pretty much eating the same things every day though, is there a lot of food that you don't like?
Your body will quickly adjust to eating more food anyway, so just persevere.0 -
Ahh I forgot about the drinks side of things, now can always switch from my coke zero to ordinary coke, if I can't keep up, but yeah today I had to force myself to stuff bigger foods down my throat like Sticky Bread Buns, Sandwitches, cheese, Meat Pie, Chips, Bananas and half a roast chicken, and now I feel like i've eaten a horse.
And I'm not a fuzzy eater, the food I've brought is the food im used to buying, I mean it's kept me healthy and never seen the need to change, but yeah my shopping lists will have to change, its too expensive if I was the eat the same way I did today, everyday...0 -

I'm maintaining (although I'm trying to bulk) on your maintenance calories so feel free to creep my diary for ideas. I east fairly healthily most of the time but on an IIFYM basis.
Whilst not calorie dense (other than avocados) you might want to try eating more fruit and veg for your health (rather than just to lose weight). Nothing but baked goods and a single banana won't really meet your micro-nutritional needs.0 -
What's TDEE AND BMR?0
-
I'm in the same boat. I'm 145, 5'8" and pretty active throughout the week. I just started maintaining last week but I dropped almost another pound this week despite eating at MFP's maintenance and a night of booze and snacks. Might have to try the TDEE method again.0

I'd it's pretty clear what to do, and you know it, the opposite of what you were doing to lose. Eat more Move less. Up your cals some more boy!0
-
Same thing happened to me . . . got down to 7st, then kept dropping until I hit 6st6lb . . . then I went on holiday to Vegas and have buffets everyday, came back and went up to 7st! The key for me, eating - lots! aha I was having BIG breakfasts and eating late at night! Then again I was on holiday and I didn't actually plan to put that much on but there you go!0

Get a big jar of Nutella and get busy.0

Ok doing everything right, today I ate 2,200 calories, yesterday I ate 2,400, this is approx my maintenance weight, I decided to eat half a cup of almonds (Nuts) to make sure I keep up.
Wondering though, since my diet started0, I've always fasted after dinner, would it be better if I start eating at night?0 -
Eat whenever you want to eat!
If you talking about maintaining weight it just boils down to calories in vs calories out
When you eat them calories makes no difference0 -
I have the samw problem. I'm a 21 year old student. I have a pretty sendetary life, but I try to ride my bike to school when it's sunny and I have volleyball practice twice a week (I used to be a professional, but now I only enjoy recreational playing). This is all the workout I get in a week.
I eat 2000kcal a week (sory my diary is not open, but I use calorie counter for counting calories but the forums here are better ) now that I'm on maintance and I have 160lbs (5'10").
Do you think 2000 is not enough (I sometimes eat more than 2000 but not more than 2200). When I was restricting I was eating around 1600-1800, but have now uped my alorie intake. In the last month I still lost 2 pounds and I'm worried I won't stop losing.0
