Tim Horton's

Does anyone here even go to Tim Horton's anymore or is it just Starbucks? I work at Starbucks and rush hour is ridiculous, TH over the road from us seems to get maybe 75% of the customers we get. Personally, I like my job but hate the coffee here. Still, I love me a double double and a red velvet muffin.

I go to Tim's every workday, xl green tea two bags in!0

I haven't even tried Startbucks before. Our Tim's is almost always crazy busy. Tim's lover for life...well, from a distance for right now *sniff*0

Isn't going to Tim's a Canadian law or something?0
-
tims all the way, can't stand starbucks0

TIm's is the only place I'll go outside of my own home for coffee. Tim's only competition around here is DUnkin' Donuts…and their coffee is watered down so much I can barely stand it…
I love me the sour cream glazed donuts too… *wipes drool from my chin*0 -

yes it is. I'd go there for the doughnuts alone0 -
McDonald's coffee is better and they offer re-fills.0

They do (same visit). Only coffee not specialty drinks.0 -
Tims 99% of the time. Starbucks is a treat when I want something fancy. Although those flavor shots at tims are pretty decent, and only like 5 calories or something small like that.?0

Sorry not a fan of Starbucks - prefer Tim Horton's or McDonalds coffee (these days that's all I buy there since I am avoiding fast food - although Tim's breakfast sandwiches are not bad on the cals) :ohwell:0

I think it's a regional thing. I live in NYC where there are only like 4 small Tim Hortons shops, whereas Starbucks is on EVERY CORNER! Plus, I believe people in cities tend to like the decaf extra mocha soy lattes with whipped cream. I'm more of a plain coffee drinker 98% of the time and much prefer Tim's over Starbucks brews. I also used to live in Buffalo (right on the Canadian border) and most of us chose Tims. I know that's always my first stop when I visit home!!0

I loathe Tim's coffee and dislike Starbucks unless it's full of milk and syrup. But if those are my choices, I pick Starbucks and say a prayer to the caffeine gods. Just choke down that Americano, haha. Still better than the sludge at Tim Horton's, surprisingly.
I never get food so that point is moot.0 -
I'm in Toronto and Starbucks is the unpopular one. For a good reason, too.0

I'm a Tim Hortons fanatic. Prefer it over Starbucks. Love the flavor of their coffee and drink it daily. BTW - Black, with a sugar substitute packet.0

I'm a Timmies girl.:) Love the fact that there's a Tim Horton's just a five minute walk away from where I live too.0

Tim Horton's, at first because we have them and not Starbucks, now because I like them better. The chicken snack wraps are awesome, and I like the breakfast sandwiches too. Plus... better coffee. :drinker:0

I thought you said you worked at Starbucks, and that you're always busy...0 -
Also, you people waste too much money on coffee0

I go to both, love tims iced cappuccinos and usually would go there if I were hungry as I prefer most of their food options (Starbucks has some tasty snacks though), I love me some Starbucks as well, but try to limit it as it's so expensive. The one thing I really like about Starbucks though is the options for drinks, you can get much healthier versions of things which is nice if you've got a craving but don't want to waste a ton of calories on a beverage.0

Peet's Sumatran - just sayin' (and I am a cheapskate and make it at home)0

blasphemy! :indifferent:0 -
I'll happily buy a box of Timbits, but their coffee is vile. I'd rather go without than have their coffee. Then again, I've only been in Canada for five months, so maybe I'm still in training.0

No Tim Hortons on our side of the world0

Tim's for me as well. I tried Starbucks once, wanted just a regular coffee and had to make it myself???, plus it was pretty gross! Never tried again.0

Tim's is way more popular here (Calgary). Starbucks has quite a long line as well but I've yet to see people wait in line for 30-60 minutes for Starbucks while at Tim's it's normal. The Tim Horton's in one of the buildings on my school campus usually has a line going all the way out the door and wraps half way around the building during lunch rush. I get more things from Starbucks than I do Tim Horton's (soy frappuccinos, desserts, refreshers), but I prefer what I get at Tim's (honey cruller, mint iced capp, BLT sandwich or lasagna).0

I think Tim's is an acquired taste. I do not like their coffee. But they seem like nice people.0
