Girl Scout Tagalongs: 2 cookies...
2 cookies? LOL That's called "just getting started!"
This. Totally this. There are two boxes in my kitchen right now just mocking me....0 -
ANY frozen entree or prepackaged meal, snack, chips, etc.
My serving size is always, always 1 container. Doesn't matter what's in it or how many calories. If it's in the bag or box, I eat it.Because we can't just do the math ourselves??0 -
Ice Cream and Cereal for me. I mean who in the world eats only 1/4 cup ice cream or 3/4 cup cereal? It's just NOT feasible :huh:0

Wine.0

Almonds, I bought a "single serving" pack of almonds and when I read the (empty) packet it turned out to be two servings. My big one is granola. I've stopped eating it all together, once I weighed it on scales I found that my perfectly reasonable serving size was three times the recommended amount. I decided that I really shouldn't eat half my calories for breakfast so, for the time being at least, it's off the menu.:sad:0

Poptarts. They come 2 in the little silver package yet the serving size is ONE pastry. Oookay.0
-
granola. 1/4 cup? that's like a little sprinkle.0

Nutella, dear sweet Jesus that stuff is evil... The whole jar? not a problem.
Ice cream... 1/2 cup? really? um, NO. Must. Have. More.
Wine- yep, it's the BOTTLE for me!! :blushing:0 -

Healthy Choice Devil's Food Cookies - what do you mean 1 package isn't one serving?!?!?!?!0

Almonds - really- 10?
'What kind of almonds are you eating? I have some at my desk - Serving size 28 nuts = 160 cal (Blue Diamond in the can)
I count out 28 and put the can away. My co-workers think I'm insane. LOL0 -
Frozen pizza0

Pop Tarts - 1 pastry.
If the serving is ONE pastry why do they put TWO in a package?!! Trickery
I was JUST about to say this! What am I supposed to do with the other one? I'm a single lady with nobody to share my pop tarts with
Stick it in a ziploc for tomorrow?0 -
1 Oz of Cheese.... or 1/2 cup of rice.... or an oz of meat. Wow... yep 4 oz of wine... hmmm who does that... :-(0

I just measured out 15g of chocolate chips. Wow. Just wow.
And cheese, 1oz. is so sad.0 -
Soup or any other canned food where there are not an even number of serving sizes. Who is the one who gets the extra 40mls in a can of soup that is 540mls but the serving size is 250mls? If I split the can into two bowls, each one is 1.08 servings?0
-
Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies - 4 cookies? Ya right....0
-
1/8 of the pizza. Cause yea, that's why I am going to eat pizza.. :yawn:0
-
Cereal - most are 3/4 of a cup. At a minimum I do 1 cup. Though sometimes *coughtodaycough* I do two cups haha
I fill up my bowl. I just guesstimate (bad idea I know) that it's about 2 cups. I should just stay away from cereal...it always makes me hungrier.0 -
I don't let a package dictate what my serving is going to be...it just helps with the math.0
-
Wine.
It is for me. LOL :drinker:
4oz?? thats just silly.0 -
1/2 of a small can of green beans/green peas/ corn etc.0

Good news peeps!!! The FDA is going to change the serving sizes from "mere morsel" to "what we actually eat"... so no more 2.5 servings in a 20 oz of soda... no more 2 tagalongs... or half a candy bar...
Because we can't just do the math ourselves??
Perhaps the same reason bottles of lighter fluid have a flammable warning.0 -

Actually the FDA does not put nutrition labels on anything, the manufacturers do, funded by PEOPLE who purchase their products. This "good news" is expected to cost consumers 2 billion dollars. Neither the government nor business pays for anything, they simply pass the added cost to YOU AND ME.0 -
Sliced bread the lists 1 slice as a serving size.0

That's what I do! I put the baggie in the box before I've even eaten the first one, so it's there and I have no excuse.0
