I've stared eating lots of fruit, veggies and nuts, i haven't ate meat in about a week or any animals products for that matter.

Is there any vegetarians or Vegans on here? Is your poo green?

Pretty cool considering tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day. And you poop what you eat.

    Quoted for truth.

I am vegetarian and I know exactly what you are talking about. I am going to go out on a limb and say you ate a lot of green foods lately. That would explain the color change in your stool. If you eat a lot of carrots you will get orange tint just as if you eat a lot of tomatoes based foods you get reddish tones. If your stool color isn't in sync with your diet, greenish poop and did not eat a surplus of greens, then you may want to get it checked out it could be a sign of you being sick.

Same with my kids eating Swiss cake rolls. The icing would cause it.

That's normal if you are eating a lot of green veggies because they contain large amounts of green pigment chlorophyll.

The color of your stool is a reflection of what you eat.

Bile can also cause green poop. As bile pigments travel through your gastrointestinal tract, they are chemically altered by enzymes, changing the pigments from green to brown. However, if food is moving through your large intestine too quickly, the bile doesn't have time to completely break down. Hence green stool rather than brown.

Interesting. Maybe it's because this has been my diet for so long but I'm not experiencing this phenomen.

You people all look at what you laid out in the bowl? Seriously, that is so gross. I sneak a cheek, wipe twice. Then flush and I am out the door. I don't have a stool self documentary and self discovery every time I am in there. Never look back.

No poo-viewing shaming! Lol, poo documenting is so important in my work! It can alert us to possible issues, causes of behavior changes, health, nutrition, so much! It seems like typical workplace convo are things like "Has [name] had a bm today? What was it like? What did it smell like?" Especially when battling c-dif, appearance and smell are important things to make note of. So yeah, I see a lot of other people's poo in my day-to-day, taking a look at my own doesn't seem so gross! :flowerforyou:

I can't reply based on your question as I eat meat, but when I ate too much licorice when pregnant my poop turned green.

Must just be diet related, I wouldn't panic unless it was bloody or looked like coffee grounds!

I went a bit crazy on some grandmother-in-law's home-canned green beans once, and I had the same outcome, so to speak.
