This thread is one in which a new fitness and dietary challenge is posted each week. We also post our weigh-in numbers for the week on Monday (when the challenges actually start). For those returning, last week we all seemed to fall off a bit but I'm nothing but optimistic about THIS week! We can do this! :flowerforyou:
Here are the challenges/format to post for this week: (ANY one can join in at ANY time!)

FITNESS CHALLENGE:
To burn a pound of fat you need to burn 3500 calories, so let's burn a pound of fat this week! (or burn as much of it as you can )
DIETARY CHALLENGE:
Drink more water!!! :drinker: Drink half your body weight in ounces of water. For example, if you weigh 200 lbs then drink 100 ounces (12 and a half glasses)

Hello! I'd love to join your challenge this week... sounds like GREAT motivation! This will also give me incentive to get back to weighing in just once a week, on Mondays, something I'd gotten away from in the past few weeks. I will be back tomorrow with my weigh-in number (hoping to finally be under 170!) and to start this week off right! Thank you for the great challenge, and best wishes to everyone involved!!0

I will be joining you if that is alright. I have been having a bit of a torrid time of it lately and really want to get back to it so that I have a bit of a comfort zone for Xmas.

I'm leaving that calorie burn goal at 3500, however it's unlikely i'll get there. It's my first week back in the gym after an ankle sprain and I'm not going to push it. My plan is to work out at least 4 times this week which would put my goal realistically at about 2200 cals burned.0

This sounds like a challenge I need! I've been a slacker when it comes to my H2O intake!
I weighed in this a.m. and was disappointed with the number I saw, but I'll work hard to lower that number this week!

Well, wouldn't you know it. I had every intention of working out yesterday evening, when a stomach virus hit me literally out of nowhere not long after dinner. I was SO disappointed and still not feeling the greatest... hoping this won't last long so I can get back to it. Just biding my time at the moment, taking care, nibbling on a cracker and sipping some tea. I may not reach the goals for this week, but I'll stick around anyhow, get as close as I can within reason depending on how I feel, and also look forward to next week's challenge. Best wishes to all of you!0 -
