    What kind of a wedding doesn't have cake or booze? It doesn't sound like a good time to me but she is family...

    I like that dress! But champagne doesn't sound like a good colour :(

    I like how there is no booze at the event except on the name of the dress. It's like some kinda nightmare to me. I'ts like ifyou told me I can go to el torito but there will only be PAINTINGS of margaritas on the wall but no real margaritas allowed. maybe you should give them a strap on as their wedding gift and then forbid them from honeymoon activities. she's a tease. poor groom.



    Annnd I never noticed that. Too busy crying over a lack of cake, I guess.

    sorry forgot to mention malibu rum in the other hand. so yeah, you should show up in a hot pink dress that when asked you tell everyone you thought you were SUPPOSED to get in in fuschia, pronounced. Puke sha, or puck-sha with an "f" and then have a giant cake in one hand and a wine bag full of malibu rum in the other. For kicks. (Please take pics and post them. )

    No idea. It just sounds like a really depressing and long family gathering if you ask me.

    And no gelato either. Basically happiness is not allowed here.

    My family has cake and booze at every occasion. Even funerals. I say skip it.

    Can your family adopt me?

    I believe I shall skip it. I'll just tell people I lack the funds to make the trip. Done and done.

    you can make any choice you like. You do not have to be dictated by social conventions. Just remember though that you will have to suffer the consequences from family members if you don't go.

    Personally I'd probably just go if my Mum and family would be p*ssed at me especially if you're a bridesmaid, it's not worth the family drama, although if you think you'll end up arguing with the bride or moaning all day about the lack of cake, booze and dress colour don't go. Also if you genuinely can't afford it that's fair enough too. However if I did go I'd be taking a hip flask of voddie. :P

    I was going to say I don't like the dress, though I like Champagne colored dresses. My wedding dress is actually champagne from the waist down.

    OP you can just come to my wedding. Lots of delicious cake and an open bar.
