The photos on the left are from 2012. The one on the right was taken a few days ago. I still have a way to go yet.

I am still a work in progress as I have not yet reached my first goal.

The left side pic is from May 2013 (at my heaviest) when I suddenly realized, WTH am I doing with my body?? And 2nd pic is from Dec 2013, my birthday.
Haven't lost anything since then because had been eating at maintenance due to an ankle fracture that required proper nourishment. :grumble: :grumble:

Unfortunately the opposite is generally true when older people lose weight. Being the age of 60, I know I will look a lot older than I do now if I reach my goal weight. I wish there was some way to lose weight everywhere BUT the face!

some photos are truly dramatic differences. I think its true about what one poster said about when we're overweight our faces look generic. after we loose, our personal facial features emerge.

  • I get excited every time I see this thread. I have a perfectly round face whether I'm thin or fat, but I am a beauty even when I'm big. I can't wait to see what my face will look like at my goal weight!

This is great! Just because you haven't made your goal yet, doesn't mean you have to discredit the progress you've made thus far! You've come a long way! Be proud(:
