I can't believe I ate the whole thing...

I have really been working hard to lose that last 10 pounds. I have tried a couple of different diets, including Keto. I wasn't using this website religously until this week. When I started punching in all the food that had been eating, I then realized why I wasn't losing. Calories in = Calories out.
Then it was my birthday yesterday and my evil wife (not really) bought me a Cheesecake Factory Carrot Cake. OMG!!! I ate a slice and a half yesterday and a slice today. That is some damn good carrot cake. Needless to say, I finished both slices and almost licked the plate.
To make things worse, that damn cake is in the fridge taunting me right now...carrot cake is the DEVIL!
Someone make it stop!

So how many calories are in one of those pieces of cake?????0

OK, nevermind, I looked it up on this site and it's over 1500 calories a slice!!! Throw the cake away, just toss it, get rid of it....NOW!0
-
Haha, I can totally relate. My mom made these fantastic brownies and I ate 3 of them yesterday. Man they were good. All we can do is go forward from here and forget the words brownie and carrot cake.0

Funny you should post this today. Hubby brought home a Cheesecake Factory Snickers Cheesecake home today from his office Christmas lunch thingy. Uggggh....but i did NOT eat any :noway: But since it was your birthday, I think it's good that you indulged.
Hope your birthday was a good one! :bigsmile:0 -
That would be a whopping 996! Multiply that by 2.5 and we are talking 2500 calories from just the cake in the last two days.
2500 calories....wow! That's 4 days of working out....0 -
I used to work there, its about 1500 calories or so.0

Honestly, it's a ton of calories but I wouldn't throw it away.
Eat it on days when you're burning a lot of calories. Maybe only eat a quarter of the slice. But it's a present to you and so long as you're not overdoing it all the time, I don't see a problem with some indulgences.0 -

Okay!! I caught the boy before he tossed it. Game plan....Burn 1000 calories at the gym tomorrow and carrot cake for lunch!
WINNER!!!!0 -

How do you figure? At 1500 calories a slice, I'm putting on weight just thinking about it. :happy:0 -

bahahahha whatever works and if you know your going to eat it.. just bring it at the gym0 -
Just looked at your profile, mostly muscle, you can afford to eat the cheesecake because you can probably burn it off in one session! And you obviously don't indulge in sweets often!0

I've found that if I ate eat good all week and have one day where I kill it, I lose more weight than if I ate low calories all week. The metabolism does weird things when you confuse it.
Seriously, I've found I lose more weight if I vary my calorie intake during the week.0 -
Cover it with coffee grounds and throw it away!0

Well I hope that works for me! I could get used to eating rich food like that once a week.0 -
I made myself a 6,000+ cake in celebration of being a bachelor (kiddo and hubby visiting family) for 2 weeks. It was like 650 calories a piece. I ate the whole thing! But, I had 1 piece a day and did work it into my calories and only went over one day (granted I have 2000 to work with before exercise since I'm at maintenance!)
The cake is not evil. Just have small amounts. Whatever works into your calorie count and enjoy it. It's your birthday! Was 650 cals too much to allocate to total crap for 10 days? Yeah, probably, but have I been really really good generally speaking for months and I have no major events or christmas parties coming up that I want to splurge on, so 10 days of enjoying the most delicious cake that I loved every bit of, w/out going over my cals, is not that big a deal long run.0 -
GREAT....now i can taste carrot cake.. .mmmmm..mmmmm... err uh:noway: I mean...bad evil (not really) wife..that was so not cool!! :grumble: :smokin:0

Cut it up into small 150 calorie squares. Wrap them in ziplocks. FREEZE....and only break in case of emergency (like when you worked you a&& off, and need to have a small treat to make up for some exercise calories). ;-) A taste may do your psyche good...0
-
Dude, eat the cake.. Looks like you can eat about 3 slices a day and still be good...
I agree with the above post, confusing your metabolism works0 -
I think you have to allow yourself to indulge once in awhile! Especially since you have been so disciplined in your plan so far and it was your bday... Just hope you enjoyed every single one of those 1500 calories :P
