wheaties.
(this thread is a nightmare for an OCD-ish person with insomnia. fer reals.)
where is OP?0 -
Despite the fact that eating this cereal completely shreds the roof of my mouth, it is still my number one!
Also fruity pebbles make for an interesting poop.
Kashi cereals make me feel like I should go out on my lawn and start licking tree branches.
Shredded wheats taste like pencil shavings with milk.
Oatmeal, I only like if made the way my Wela taught me which is with whole milk (or evaporated milk), sugar, vanilla extract, a touch of butter, and cinnamon stick. The same goes for farina and Malt-o-meal.
The 3/4 to 1 cup servings of cereal do nothing but piss me off so I rarely buy them anymore, unless it's a day I know I have room to do it right and eat the entire box in a giant bowl being sure to also slurp up the sugary goodness that is cereal milk after I'm done.0 -

Kashi Go Lean helps me get protein.
I like this stuff too.
Also, holy crap awebster2, your display picture brought back memories!
LOL. Glad you like it. I'm a school librarian so it fits.0 -
Either pick one with no more than 4-5 grams of sugar per serving and has
Fiber or make your own cereal. Incredible easy believe it or not.0 -
I can't control myself around cereal. One bowl quickly turns into an entire box. I LOVE poptarts though - hard to really over-do it since you have to keep consciously opening packs rather than just re-pouring compulsively. :P0

Be careful of Kashi products They aren't gmo free and a tainted with toxic chemicals.0

Believe it or not, Quinoa for breakfast is great. Add a little milk, sweetener like organic agave and your favorite fruits/nuts. High protein and a great way to start the day. Not sure if it'd be considered a cereal but it eats like one.0

Hello, I eat oatmeal quite often but looking for other choices of cereal that you have tried. Thanks
Chocolate Cheerios with almond milk
Cinnamon Cheerios with almond milk
Raisin bran with sweetened vanilla almond milk
Wheat Chex with sweetened vanilla almond milk
Cheerios come in many different flavors now. It is fun to mix some together - peanut butter and chocolate taste really good0 -

Life is fairly low-sugar and quite good. If you can't tolerate gluten, try any of the Chex cereals (EXCEPT for wheat and bran).
If you like fruit in your cereal, I would suggest Raisin Bran.0 -
You are on 1200 calories?I like to either make my own granola (simply google for the recipe), or I get different granolas from the Whole Foods bulk section.
Only down side is that it is high in cals. I'm on a 1200 calorie max, and I can easily waste half of that on just granola and milk. Luckily I hit the gym for 1-2 hours each day, so I can still eat lunch and dinner.0 -
I like these, too.multi grain cheerios0

I'm liking the Quaker medleys.
Also like the Quaker oatmeal squares.0 -
I like Cream of Wheat or Cream of Rice. I make it with skim milk then add a small amount of flavored creamer and cinnamon. So delish! Also, so many variations with all of the flavored creamers out there. Plus, it's a hot cereal so it really sticks to your ribs (as my Grandma used to say) and keeps me full all the way up till lunch.0

I love Special K Protein. It's pretty low in calories, has a decent amount of protein and it's yummy. I usually have 1 cup with 3/4 skim milk.
I f you can allow more calories, I also like Kashi Go Lean cinnamon crumble.0 -
Cereals...I could live off them. Seriously, I love them all.
As for oatmeal, if I'm bored with them, I add stuff like golden raisins (I'm a raisin snob), cherries, cranberries, nuts...just stuff to add more zing.
Edited to add additional content.0 -
Lucky Charms..... you can never go wrong with Marshmallows in the morning.
Or Reese peanut butter cereal!0 -
The Nature's Path Q'ia brand has super healthy cereal, but it's not really cereal. It's buckwheat, hemp, and chia. So yummy and very healthy.
Nature's Path has some good selections. My favorite is their Mesa Sunrise:

I'd much rather have Captain Crunch Berries, but hey, you know....
