What percentage of everyone's daily calories do they use on breakfast? I have 1200 calories and I used 200 lately so that's about 1/6th

similar, 200 - 300 for breakfast. Prefer bigger evening meal.0

I usually have 200ish but I am trying to make it a bigger meal so that my evening meal isn't so large. Just not much of a breakfast eater and it is a hard habit to break.0
-
About 25%, typically... 400-500 calories (out of 1700).0
-
Today I used 16% on a whole pack of corned beef yummy0

Anything between 400 & 800 (22-44%)....today I had a peanut butter crunch protein bar, banana & almonds, for a total of 783 cals (43%) out of a daily total of 1800 + exercise cals. I like my food!!!0

I have a goal of 1800 calories daily. I try to devote around 500 to each meal, and leave room for a few lower calorie snacks in the 100 cal range each or what have you. I can't imagine eating only 100-200 calories in the morning, I'd be ravenous by 10am.0

That sounds delicious.0 -
100 max
I am not that hungry in the mornings. so I always have one 100 calorie breakfast bar and a hot tea. Lunchtime for me is 11:00. So I'm not waiting too long. I would rather save my calories for a workout bar right before my workouts.0 -
Generally I have about 300-400 calories for breakfast, which for now is about 13-18% of my calories.0
-
Goal of 1200 calories a day I typically use between 200 and 350 calories including coffee.
On a typical day I am closer to 200 but on days I know I am going to have my session w/ a personal trainer I will go a little higher.0 -
I have 1700 calories a day and I just ate about 600 for breakfast...ham, eggs, butter, egg, egg whites, juice...
that is normal for me...
it's all about protien for me0 -
I average between 300 & 450 calories when I'm having a 1200 calorie day.
My brother gave me some advice, which I do find a struggle to do but there is logic around it... Is to split my meals over a ratio of 500 for breakfast, 400 for lunch and 300 for dinner. Logic being that you need a damn good breakfast to get your day started and where you need to most energy, continue with a reasonable sized lunch followed by a lighter meal in the evening as you may not need the energy then.
It's just one of my approaches and it certainly helps when I'm working in the office. I'm more productive and not forever grazing until lunch comes along!
But I vary this approach on a day to day basis depending what I have planned in life or exercise x0 -
i like front loading my day, so breakfast tends to be my biggest meal. it can run anywhere from 350 - 550 cals.0

I pretty much eat the same exact breakfast every day (mmm, oatmeal) along with my morning coffee, so it ends up being around 275 calories. 275-300 for lunch, 200 for my afternoon snack, 450-550 for dinner, and 200-250 for my post-workout protein shake. My goal is 1450 calories.
I don't know how you guys do it on 1200 a day...no thanks.0 -
About 25%, typically... 400-500 calories (out of 1700).
About this but usually more on weekends when I tend to eat brunch and linner.0 -
It's rarely under 600 (which is about 25% of my daily intake), but I do generally eat very late in the morning (10, 11).0
-
During the work week, it's about 20-25%, but occasionally on the weekends it's been almost 50%. But when that happens I adjust accordingly by having a small snack late in the afternoon and a sensible dinner... Unless I have banked some calories throughout the week to use.0

Im usually around 350-400 for breakfast. I aim for 1500 calories each day.0
-
Usually around 200-300. I prefer to have a larger dinner. Eating too much in the morning always makes me feel bad. So I eat a light breakfast and lunch.0
-
200-500. I'm on a 2090 calorie plan. Never used to eat breakfast befor MFP 2 months ago, so i'm discovering when i don't eat anything for breakfast, my lunch isn't enough to get through the workout in the evening. Guess i'm learning to eat to live...right?0
-
I usually eat between 300-400 calories out of about 1500 calories a day (~20%). I also add a piece of fruit as a mid-morning snack so I am not completely starving by lunch. On the weekend I usually eat a bit later, but usually have the same breakfast, but skip the fruit...0
-
200-400 depending on what training i am doing or not doing!0
-
I eat anywhere from 300 to 400 calories for breakfast. Based on a 1600 calorie day.0
-
1800 calories a day, 700 for breakfast0
-
Time and calirie amounts are also my label names so here it is for you:
00 ~ 11 || Breakfast < 500
11 ~ 13 || Early snacks < 300
13 ~ 17 || Lunch < 800
16 ~ 20 || Late snacks < 700 << cardio and weightlifting goes here
20 ~ 00 || Dinner 300+0 -
I try to keep it under 200 (of a 1370 total day) because I'm a snackasaurus at night. Do the same for lunch.0
