star trek vs star wars

Battlestar Galactica FTW!
No? ok
Star wars all the way - Lightsaber's, just lightsaber's on sheer coolness alone.0 -
Star wars... obviously.
Ohh man... Star Trek all the way...
We really are two different people! :P
Were you corrupted at a young age? Did you suffer from indecent exposure to Star Trek. Its okay. You can tell me about it. *comforting pat on the shoulder*
ONE OF US!
But red shirts always die so fast. :c Be careful out there, okay?
They're main characters, they don't count! Nothing bad ever happens to them. Except Tasha Yar.0 -
There were more people in the Star Trek universe that I'd consider sleeping with than there were in the Star Wars one, mainly from a cleanliness standpoint. The Star Wars universe was a dirty, dirty place. That's the only criteria I could come up with for giving a crap about a comparison between these two bloated fictions.0

Sg1 > star trek > star ways *grabs tin hat0

excuse me while I flex my geek cred for a min - but actually it's b/c in TNG the colors were changed from Command Gold to Command Red. (Science was always blue) and Security switching more to Gold. they had a few "red shirts" but I think that was just to keep the joke relevant.0 -

A change which annoys the hell out of me to this day. In what world does it make sense that COMMAND would be red and SECURITY would be gold?!0 -

... in the one where Patrick Stewart and Jonathan Frakes both looked better in red...?0 -

That may be true, but it's still completely illogical.0 -

and maybe that's why they had a Bajoran on the bridge and not a Vulcan?0 -
I can argue for either (I love both)... Technologically Star trek had better ships, weapons and shields. Star wars has better fighter Jedi , and sith and a broader spectrum of alien life forms
However there are a couple of battles I would like to see
Darth Vader VS Q
Borg cube VS Death star
Storm troopers vs redshirts
the Borg cube would annihilate the Death star
storm troopers vs. redshirts. that one might be a tough call. i'd say bring the beer and popcorn.
ETA: oh, btw, i'm a Trekkie all the way. TNG to be specific.0 -

Bajoran Was DS9 ... Betaziod (half) and Klingon TNG0 -
Is this even a question that someone would ask??
And I promise I was this omnipotent and fit before this thread started.0 -
Ugh..Neither! Sorry0

Ok, I am gonna throw this in.
BSG, the re-imagined series.
I think this went unnoticed.
It is difficult, but Star Trek wins out for me. BSG took itself rather too seriously sometimes. And I wanted to flush both Tyrell and Cally out the airlock not long after they appeared on screen.0 -

there is a special place close to my heart for BSG. So say we all!0 -

There is no real competition for me. Star Trek all the way0

Can't we enjoy both?0 -
any person with any level of intelligence knows that star trek is superior in ever way
First of all, you negate your argument by not proof reading before you post. I think you meant 'every' and not 'ever.' :drinker: Second of all, I love them both, though I tend to favor Star Trek a little more as of late. It really just depends on what you prefer, Star Wars is much more Fantasy based, whereas Star Trek is very much Science Fiction. Still, there's nothing wrong with enjoying them both, and it really has little to with intelligence. :glasses:0 -

what do you have against kermit moisturizing? he's an amphibian. he needs to keep his skin moist, just like the two ladies in that pic, who both clearly have very nice skin. i'm sure they moisturize daily too. :huh:0
