What has changed for you with MFP?

The biggest change for me, apart from being more active... I'm cooking. Never cooked before. Now I'm always looking for recipes (mostly of things I shouldn't make in the first place because I'm still learning moderation on baked goods). My husband is really happy about it, but has unfortunately gained weight while I lost mine.

Thats funny, I just had this talk last night the biggest thing is being self aware, knowing that i'm eating because i'm bored or am I eating bc i'm hungry. And knowing just because it all fits in a bowl or on one plate does not make it a recommended serving size. Understanding food and changing my relationship with it.
I've always been decently active but I love food. Now I just have to love it different.0 -
Well, I've become more self conscious and want to look better then I used to...now I actually care what I wear!! Also, I work out more and feel abit better about myself0

Lots...I've gained more confidence and feel better about myself....and yeah, like Mia, I'm now single. Ooops :laugh:0

Well, now I'm single.
Yeah, *sigh* me too. Besides this I am definitely much more active and physically fit and am cooking a lot more than I used to. I'm getting my kids to eat healthier as well which is good (even though they fight it some).0 -
My productivity at work has declined.
Oh and I'm 100+ lbs lighter.0 -
I have a lot less clothes that for sure...
I am no longer the "fat" friend and I am not sure how my friends feel about that....
Other than that I really can't think of much...will find out this summer I guess...0 -
I seem to be addicted to forum posting and finding gifs. and I lift a lot more now.0

Now I really watch my calories, and I'm a better judge of what the calorie count of food is. And I've had to buy new clothes and have some altered.0

Mum told me that all I talk about is weightloss/ exercise and that I need to watch out because it's boring and no-one else cares and that I need to find some new conversation..

Everything.
I have become more aware of what and how much I am eating.
I have stopped secret eating.
I have become more confident and I am beginning to like myself again.

I am much more aware of what and WHY I am eating. Logging keeps me accountable. Some days I make the choice to go over my calories, but it never sneaks up on my anymore. I don't mindlessy eat, because I force myself to log it before I eat it.
And, I know a whole lot more about a whole lot. In general. I've learned a lot about diet and exercise, and I having started and come to love running.0 -
I'm more aware of portion sizes.
I'm conscious of the food choices I make.
I am much more active.
I don't find time to exercise. I make time to exercise.
I've met some really cool fitness oriented friends here.0 -
I realized how much I used to "reward" myself for situations that were perceived. "Oh, today is going to be busy, I'd better eat a big breakfast." "Oh, someone bought donuts to work, I know there're high in calories, but I'll only have one. That's being healthy, right?" And on and on. Once I begin logging, it was as crystal clear and I'm actually surprised I was not more over-weight and in poorer health than I was.0

Sadly, I've lost one friend who needed to have "all eyes on her". Not too big a loss, though. I've made way more because I have the confidence to say hello to people now.
I'm way more comfy in my own skin - I rarely feel the need to wear make up anymore unless it's date night with hubby.
I got my very first bikini, and I actually wear it in public.
And I'm way more flexible, which makes all kinds of things more fun.0 -
I can now eat just one Pop Tart, or one actual serving of ice cream, not going by the "what will fit in my bowl" method.0

I have started making better choices all around.
No more excuses to over indulge when out to eat
quit buying sweets when I head to the store
make myself be more active
drink more water and less sodas/coffee
but I think the best thing is beginning to feel my self confidence and pride increase, I'm more motivated and loving it all!0 -

I pay more attention to what I'm eating, drink a lot more water, and browse recipes online a lot more than I used to.
I'm more willing to try new things, and do things I never would have before. The "old" me would have been too intimidated to try Insanity or Combat, but now I'm all "bring it on!" I've recently taken up running, and am easing my way into lifting. "Old" me would have been happy to just hang out and wish I could be more fit like other people are.
I have a lot more confidence than I had before. I know that I can do stuff... it may not be pretty, but by golly, I can do it. If something happens at work, or I have a bad day, it's easier to shake it off because I know that I'm working on being amazing.
My husband likes to pick me up more. I HATE getting picked up, so that's a not so fun change, haha0 -
My life is 1000 times better.
I'm half the size I used to be. I can shop in regular stores My wardrobe is a lot smaller because I have had to replace absolutely everything, except maybe some socks. I can rock a sleeveless dress or shirt. I don't care what people think of me/what I am wearing at the gym, because hey, I'm there to work out. I'll go out in public in workout gear. I am no longer the fattest person in the room!
I read labels closely, drink far less alchol and far more water, and eat/cook healthier. I measure things when I cook and keep track of what's going in to my mouth.
I love to move and find ways to incorporate exercise in to my work day. I take the stairs up. Instead of just dreaming of cool adventures, I'm doing them. No more sidelines for me.0 -
When one of my friends asks "how many calories do you think is in X", everyone looks at me and I usually know.
If I don't know they all know I can look it up fast.0 -
I am a lot more conscious of what I eat now and when I eat, snacks in particular. I log a morning snack after breakfast and an afternoon snack after lunch. If I think about grabbing something else to eat, I think , I'm going to need to log this and I am able to control the craving knowing where I am for the day.0

For me it's realising how many calories I've eaten and where the limit is. Hope to keep it up and finally get out of a plateau0

I am more confident and I can share clothes with my 20 year old daughter. In fact, I have to watch because she will "borrow" clothes of mine if I am not too careful and I will never see them again.
I can walk into and buy from Victoria's Secret. I go clothes shopping and pick up a medium shirt and my first thought is"this will never fit me"; try it on and I am always so surprised when it does!0 -

Before MFP, I never "thought" about what I ate. I ate when I was hungry, and after a long run just figured I deserved that big plate of shrimp Alfredo and my 2 margaritas. Now... since I'm tracking I have to be aware of what I eat. HUGE reevaluations...0
